Sorry, this movie sucks
I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
What can I say? It was better than I thought it would be...but that isn't saying a lot. Most of the acting was dreadful, especially Dylan Vox. Jason Lockhart could not have overacted more...and yet I couldn't help but think that maybe it wasn't his fault. I don't know why, but I think the fault really is with director Charlie Vaughn. It is his job to control what's going on, right? Why didn't he tell these people to reel it in, or in Christian Ferrer case, to actually give more and stop batting his eyes? These vampires can come out in the day and at least they decided to just go with that. Filming movies at night is very expensive and tricky, so they didn't even try. These vampires practically worship the sun. There is some gratuitous nudity in a silly scene near the beginning that could have been so hot--almost was--and then just flopped. I figured with the full frontal nudity of the throw away characters then for sure we'd get the same from the stars. Nope. Not even a butt shot. End the final analysis I have to say that if this movie were not free when I saw it, I would probably ask for my money back. For sure I won't watch a Charlie Vaughn again!
I loved the movie, though i wish it had more scenes that show that they are vampires but otherwise it was an excellent movie and could and would not stop watching it, also i had hoped that not just Jesin was the only one to find love but that the others also had find the one they wanted, i was rooting for Caleb and Jesin all the way to the end.i had hoped that Logan didn't have to die but it just had to be done.i have never seen a gay vampire movie before but this one was my first and i loved it even thought i had thought it was going to be boring at first but then it really got good and i could not stop watching it.Thanks for making this great movie
Before watching this movie, I read all the reviews on this site, and I had very low expectations for this film when I watched it. If you're looking for a horror movie, I don't even understand why you're still looking at this page. This film is sort of a *GAY* parody of Twilight( minus the sparkles); Jasin is like Edward and Caleb is the Bella. The movie sometimes had slow or dull dialogue; sometimes it was good like that, sometimes not so much. In a nutshell, it wasn't a horrible movie, quite entertaining actually, if you're game for what this movie has. This movie is not for a true vampire fanatic. This is movie is better for ones who don't mind bending the rules a little.
I watched this movie after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly shocked by the movie. The movie is horrendous, no doubt but once you shut your mind and adjust to the nonsensical background score, it's pretty much a free ride. It's funny without actually meaning to be.The acting is horrible, the script more so, but somehow the chemistry between the two leads is fierce, esp. the bantering when they are discussing the vampire "myths"... Pretty much explained the anomalies of Twilight, like walking in the sun and not being affected by stakes, etc. and they made sense too. The music was awful and certainly did not help the mood of the movie. At times, it was better to mute and concentrate on the subtitles that hear that god-awful sound, but we got along. I especially hated the weird background score whenever Jasin- not Jason- touched Caleb. Not too mention the overdose of shirtless guys and the meadow threesome scene with shocking wiener shot was absurd and not required, but i believe as the target audience was probably gay teens it made sense, at least to the film-makers. The only token girl was Tara, but she was covered up to her ears - literally. The final scene was pretty touching, though. All-in-all, it is a pretty awfsful movie.
