It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

I found "Footprints" to be an intelligent, beautiful, and compelling film. Confidently told, the film is not easily defined, which for me is one of it's many strengths. It evokes a world experienced "in-between-the-lines," a place of longing, unresolved issues, ambition, and hope. Somehow it looks both backwards to the nostalgia of old Hollywood, and forward to a new kind of ethereal, trans like film-making.The writer/director did a great job on this unusual little gem. And I thought the performances were terrific. The lead actress especially gave a strong, nuanced and honest portrayal of a young woman lost and struggling between two worlds. The cinematography, scoring, and editing were also very good and helped the story tremendously. I really liked the music. I'd love to see this film again in my local theater. When is it coming out?! I've already recommended it to my friends.

Footprints is a gorgeous, elegant film that looks at Hollywood from a very different perspective. Steve Peros has created a magical world that is a love letter to the city of dreams. Not to be missed for anyone who loves films. The atmosphere of the movie is mysterious, charming and full of surprises. A mix of drama and heart, the actors bring to life an eclectic and wonderful mix of characters that take us on a journey over the period of one day. From the magical opening to the charming end Peros has a beautiful tone that draws you in and makes you want to know what happens next. Christopher Caliendo's score compliments the film with subtle gorgeous cues that work with the film and don't overpower it.

It's rare that I see a film at a festival that stays with me for more than a day. Most have a quick gimmick or retread well worn territory but really have nothing much else of substance to them and are forgotten usually by the next morning."FOOTPRINTS" is a film that breaks this mold wide open. It's graceful, poetic and resonates like very few films ever do--be they in a festival or in a theater. It's very difficult to summarize or characterize the movie beyond saying that it touches you. It certainly touched me and has stayed with me since I saw it. I don't want to try to "summarize" what the film is about, it wouldn't do it justice. Suffice it to say, the performances are delicate and rich, the images beautifully realized and the story deeply compelling. If you get a chance to see it--don't pass it up. I'm sure it will be at many festivals and certain it will be in the theaters one day soon.

I saw the film when it screened at the Denver Film Festival this November. It is beautifully framed, smartly directed, and interesting. It felt like the films of the 40s (almost film noir, but not as dark) superimposed with modern times. Comfortable, yet mysterious. Filmed in Hollywood, it covered many of the familiar sights that so represent the city, yet was never old nor boring. It was well paced and made sense, and actually had not just an end, but a satisfying ending, unlike many of the screened movies... There were many nuances and undercurrents that the viewer has to watch for, and I wish that I had been able to catch the second screening to enhance those that I had already picked up on. It can be as deep, or as shallow, as the viewer wants, but will never be boring. I highly recommend this film. Catch it if you can...
