A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
On the surface of it, almost a family's home movie about a canoe trip along the Lake Superior shore, but so much more. It is photographically beautiful and the feelings among the Mason family really come through on the screen.I saw this one for the first time a few years after Waterwalker. The tone is less serious, but the message is much the same: that being a reverence for nature , however in this case how important it is to convey it to our children.Excellent family viewing: not as syrupy or artificial as many "family friendly" shows, yet excellent viewing for people in any age range,
