Great Film overall
Excellent, Without a doubt!!
Absolutely Fantastic
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
I'm not sure what the director was going for here. If it was a movie devoid of any originality then she succeeded with flying colours. I can't believe that Kristen Bell and Kelsey Grammer agreed to star in this drawn out advert for the Cruise line masquerading as a father-daughter drama "comedy". This was clearly all about the money as the stars feel like they're just going through motions with a supporting cast of cliches. The film is utter garbage in my opinion and I would suggest you don't waste your time.
Netflix lays some grand old turds, and this is one of them. Stinks to high heavens. Skip it and flush it. Turd brown
'LIKE FATHER': Two and a Half Stars (Out of Five)A comedy-drama about a work obsessed woman who's left at the altar, and then still goes on her honeymoon with her estranged father, who she hasn't seen since she was a child. The movie stars Kristen Bell, Kelsey Grammer and Seth Rogen. It was directed and written by actress turned first time feature filmmaker Lauren Miller Rogen. It was released by Netflix through it's streaming site, and it's gotten mixed reviews from critics. I mildly enjoyed it. I really like Kristen Bell and Seth Rogen (of course), and I think Grammer is a talented actor (but an unlikable conservative ass in person). It's definitely not horrible if you're looking to pass the time with Netflix.
Don't expect too much of this movie and you'll probably enjoy it. It's very predictably but still a sweet story. I especially liked that it's about the relationship between father and daughter and not another light weight romantic comedy.I did think the supporting actors were a bit too stereotypical and the ending was slow but all in all an okay movie.
