Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

Filmed on location in Joshua Tree, California, this exceptional horror film is an intelligent and moving story of surprising power. Skilfully directed and well written, the tension and suspense mounts quickly as federal marshals transport a prisoner across the barren wastes of the Southwestern U.S. With shocking intensity, supernatural forces mysteriously disrupt the journey and leave the group fighting for their very lives. The performances are nothing less than superb, with Lori Petty very effective in her role as a female agent and Lou Diamond Phillips, giving his best performance in years and almost as poignant as his work in the series Longmire. Seldom in this genre are characters developed so richly. What sets this film apart as a horror movie is the touching moments involving Phillips and his father, a man he lost in childhood in the most tragic circumstances but with whom he still has strong connections. The cinematography is also beautifully done as it captures the magnificent vistas and colorful rock formations around which the action unfolds. The thrills are unrelenting and the terror overwhelming throughout, with a shattering climax that will leave audience members emotionally drained. A motion picture that viewers will find terrifying, moving, and deeply satisfying.

WARNING:Spoiler content! This movie is excellent, right from the start, it is clever, quirky, slick, and really really funny. Also, to the trained eye, it is packed full of so much symbolism that there is almost no scene where one cannot be found. The characters are clever and represented wonderfully by the people who play them, especially Rabbit, you have to love that guy, even if you find him a constant irritation, the film would definitely not be complete without him. The storyline is nice, well thought out, and spreads the action out nicely over the length of the film. Providing us (the audience) with a good dose of revenge, humour, irritation, entertainment, maybe even a little fear for the weak hearted and squeamish watchers, and finally and a little unexpectedly, the iron man (La Rocha)having a sentimental moment at the end with his father.The only thing that stopped this movie getting ten out of ten for me was the female lead, she is a great actress and fit into the part really well, i just find that her voice offends my hearing to such a degree that i can hardly bear to listen, it really grates against the ears. Other than that, this is an amazing film, i would recommend it to anyone looking for something that is not particularly scary but nonetheless highly entertaining.

I saw just the first hour of this movie trying to see what my guide meant by dead. Then when I find out the movie turns out to suck. The cinematography is horrible with the fact that you can see what is computer generated and what isn't. Give you an example, the first time the zombie gang attacks our "heroes" of this movie one of the marshals is firing out of the SUV and it looks like they used a blue screen either for the character or for the background. Why does a zombie carry around a jackhammer in the first place. Ohhh, and for an added bonus the marshals who are supposed to be trained at firing guns can't hit the jackhammer zombie because they are firing at the jackhammer that is just there.This "MOVIE" doesn't make any sense at all.

There are movies that make you want to take a fork and dig your eyes out, well, this movie will make you wish you were both blind and deaf so you don't have to know it exist.The only good thing about this movie is that you know that most characters will die, this is but a small consolation because the hero and his girlfriend survive. The director's mother is probably so proud of her son, and the mothers of the film crew, I'm sure they wished they had aborted their children while they still had a chance. I guess anybody who has seen this film wishes that the mothers would have terminated their children, why do all have to suffer for their mistakes, isn't the world a bad place already, do we really need more suffering.
