Rwanda: Take Two
Several years after the Rwandan genocide, in which 800,000 Tutsi and moderate Hutu were brutally murdered, the country is rebuilding, forging new beginnings and challenging old-fashioned myths about the place. Edouard Bamporiki (Eddy) is a lyrical poet, actor and director who travels the country showing his films and sharing anecdotes from his past. Yves Montand Niyongabo (Yves) is an ambitious 22-year old first-time director who hopes his work will win prestigious grants and film awards. Both filmmakers are part of a nascent but quickly evolving film and media community based in Kigali, the nation's capital and the film trails them for several months. The studio Eddy and Yves belong to -- Almond Tree Films Rwanda -- creates several short films a year and collaborated to produce the documentary.

Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
