Awesome Movie

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

"Mushishi Tokubetsu-hen: Hihamukage" is a Japanese animated movie from 2014 that runs for 44 minutes and was directed by Hiroshi Nagahama. It was released almost a decade after the first Mushishi series and another one followed after this short film here. This is the story of an eclipse and the impact it has on the inhabitants of a village. And while everybody is worried about the crop possibly being destroyed, a girl / young woman enjoys her time out in the darkness because she has something like a sun allergy. Her story is certainly the very best about the entire movie and still, especially in the second half, it is not on a level where I felt that it was really as good and fulfilling as it could have been. The typical Japanese animation (anime) is of course as good as it gets and in terms of the visual side, this one would have deserved more than a ***/*****. But the story left me hoping for more. For example the idea that there was an apocalyptic note to it all really could have been elaborated on in a convincing fashion. And it terms of story-telling I believe that the overall outcome could have been more touching and emotional. Still, it is a well done work as a whole and I give it a thumbs-up. There's really absolutely nothing wrong with it. Maybe I will check out the stuff this is based on / that follows afterward in the future.

It is good old Mushishi episode, but with around 44 minutes duration.Mushishi is always different than other stories out there. well, if I have to pick a word for Mushishi story.I think it is "relaxing".There is almost no tension in the story. We already know that it will have happy ending without Ginko have to kill or conquer something. Well, yeah he has to get rid of some mushi, but mushi itself has no evil thought, it is not something to be afraid of. Ginko just going around helping people as mushishi, and that's all. don't get me wrong, but for me that is a good thing. Compared to other anime that is freaking original. The story is simple, yet beautiful and there is always good message in it.This episode is about mushi that makes solar eclipse never end, so don't take sun for granted. My only complain about this TV movie, they don't put that good opening song.
