Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

First off, I don't know why there are any negative reviews for this movie. I'd like to see any one of these people try and make something better. Onto the movie... it's just awesome! The voice acting and dialogue is wonderful. The camera angles are great. There's really only 1 big action scene, but it's pretty cool. The CGI effects are nice, though could be a little better I suppose, but are still amazing considering the $10,000 budget. There's really not much to say about this movie except that if you haven't seen it, you must. If you are a fan of Metal Gear Solid, then you absolutely have to watch it. Oh, and there's a hilarious little bit at the end... Anyways, overall 10000/10, go watch right now.

Every time I read news about Hollywood planing to make a Metal Gear Solid movie,I feel scared about how the new Hollywood would massacre the video game series.Giacomo Talamini has done exactly what the MGS saga deserves, a live action movie made from the love to the story and the characters and not from the love to the money, that is exactly what Hollywood makes these days,expensive movies without soul. Philantrophy really capture the essence of the video game, the Snake performance by Talamini is perfect,exactly as the snake of the games...the film quality is beyond be amateur, Giacomo shows a big sense of the image on every scene, knowing to chose the right shot on every moment,personally I love the way he uses the shadows enhancing the snake's dark side, this guy really has talent...the film is the first part of a trilogy, I really hope they can finish it..For me, this great film proves one thing, make a good film is not only about money, is about love what you do.The new Hollywood should learn from this guys

Don't let the haters dissuade anyone from checking this out... Any TRUE Metal Gear Solid fan will enjoy it for what it is. A little more insight into the hero we all love, Solid Snake. Given the lack of funding, professional actors or a big name studio, the movie is excellently well done. There is some bad acting, poor production value and it's somewhat uneventful through the middle but even i can tell it is building toward a climax in the next movie. Hopefully the excellence of Solid Snake in this film will give Hive Productions a few more sponsors for the next film. If the could put together a film as good as this from nothing i cant wait to see what they can bring us with some financial backing.

Based on Hideo Kojima's critically acclaimed stealth game series Metal Gear Solid has become a huge success selling over 20 million copies worldwide and has a huge loyal fan following.Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy is a fan film created by the loyal fans of the MGS video games and I must say they did a very, very good job! The movie is very true to the games and for those who have played the games will be happy to know that Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy stays in the same style and tone as the games. The CGI is very good for a fan movie and so is the acting even though it's been dubbed is still very good, Snake's voice and even his personality is exactly the same as he is in the games.Fans of the games should definitely watch Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy as they would enjoy this movie and for non fans would probably see this as another low budget Sci-Fi flick. This is the best fan film based on a video game I have seen so far.I've only seen Part 1 of Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy which only has a 60 minute runtime and I still look forward to part 2 and 3 when it comes.9/10
