Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Every super hero has his nemesis - and this time Flash has that murderous mischief maker the Trickster (Hamill). The Flash II: Revenge of the Trickster combines 2 episodes from the short lived 90's TV Series called 'The Trickster' and the 'Trial of the Trickster'. Like i wrote to my actual review of the entire Series those 2 episodes have like a lot of Batman References and it's easy for me to spot them easily since i have seen the Batman: The Animated Series, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and basically i know a lot of stuff about the Dark Knight for instance before Harley Quinn was introduced to the Batman TV Series there was Prank Trickster's beautiful and crazy assistant in crime and just like Harley and the Joker their relationship was never about actual love but just Trickster using them so she could provide him with weapons and vehicles also both Joker and Trickster are just crazy in general, they are murderers, criminals, they both hate 2 men that wear a mask and their pretty good in disguises. The whole plot point where the Flash gets brainwashed reminds me of when Batman was poisoned by Joker and somewhere about Arkham Knight just before the ending Batman started loosing his mind and it kinda shows how both men affected the superheroes as a whole. Megan Lockhart also returns for both adventures in order to help Flash and Tina to catch this maniac. The best part of both films or episodes at this point was Mark Hamill he is terrific on portraying this character and as much as he might be the villain you just love him for it. (A+)
I rented this movie the other day, and must say I have not seen a worse movie in quite some time. The main reason I picked up the movie was to see Mark Hamill in something other than Star Wars. Now I know why Hollywood wasn't really knocking down his door. The acting by all parties involved in this was awful. The two main females were especially atrocious. The movie itself feels like it has ended 4 or 5 times before the actual end of the movie. Each time I'm hoping that the torture is over, but no, it still goes on. The Trickster escapes from the courthouse or from jail, or from wherever once again, and goes to fight the Flash once again. The use of The Flash's powers was pretty sparse as well. He runs around fast a little bit, juggles to himself while beating on the Trickster a bit, but doesn't really do anything cool. The Flash is more than just running fast.Special effects for this movie were actually one of the decent parts, considering it's made for TV budget, it didn't look too bad. The Flash's costume was also rather well put together.Overall though, this was a very disappointing movie, both as a fan of Mark Hamill, and as a comic book fan. I'd recommend staying far away from it.
well well the flash II not half bad the movie was very edgey it wasnt based to close to the comics but it was neat. one thing is that the trickster isnt a guy from the the year 20000 or some thing hes a guy with tricky stuff and hover shoes. i think this movie would have been awsome if it was FLASH II REVENGE OF PROFSSOR ZOOM but thats just me. dont get me wrong the movie was great but way off from the comics i mean if you watch the movie for just somthing to watch thats ok but if you watch it for comic detail then dont. this movie was fare not the best but ok the flash custume was neat the tricksters was ok mark hammil did a good job as the trickster. to finish off i give the flash II revenge of trickster 8 out of 10 ok not perfect.
From the beginning with Danny Elfman's theme this made for video movie displays an ability to entertain beyond it's low budget TV expectations. Mark Hamill's performance as The Trickster is wonderfully over the top and seems inspired by the 1960's Batman series as does the art direction and cinematography. The Flash II clearly outshines the original pilot episode and shows how great this short lived series could be. Not so happy as a clown but happy none the less.
