Absolutely Fantastic
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
This is a 90-minute television movie from three years ago. It stars Jan Josef Liefers and if you are interested in German films, you may have heard about some of the other actors as well, such as Wörner, Habeck or Allmayer. The worst thing about this film is probably the writing. No surprise as, in contrast to the film's director the writer was very unexperienced when this was made. Quotes like "Nothing serious? Still your area of expertise?" or random English sentences really hurt this film on quite a couple occasions. Same goes for all those supposedly-funny one-liners for Liefers' character. He has these in really all his films and it's become so repetitive and unfunny by now. In general, this is one of these typical Liefers films. Many women around him, he always wears suit and tie, he plays the same character as always, a guy with morals and authority and basically a good person, but he has his flaws too. And there are some seemingly very important references, here historic references back to the days of World War II. The fact that this film got a Bambi nomination pretty much shows that this awards is nothing worth anymore these days.
