They admire each other and work hand in hand to plan against the enemy; however, they can't help being from two different worlds. In the end that is no match for their lovesickness and affection, the lovers get married.

Beautiful, moving film.
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
