One of my all time favorites.

Excellent but underrated film

A waste of 90 minutes of my life

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

Nice plot on a different theme but ruined by repetition of the plot & persistently imposing of tobacco & Coca Cola advertisements. After seen those unnecessary scenes of tobacco smoking the whole movie became Uninteresting. Acting was fairly OK even though the guy was like a piece of wood when it comes to emotions. I have seen few movies of Parineethi Chopra & she seems to be improving her skills day by day. Songs were fine. Colorful settings in the pink city. They would have done a really nice movie with those settings and cinematography. Overall can give 4.5, I would give 6 if it wasn't for those cigarette ads.

The acting was good. The movie did not pretend to be anything but a light, airy, satire, looking to challenge traditions (that don't work). People who are indignant about this movie are perhaps reacting to something more visceral - Indian males have long since enjoyed being able to live as they please, but seek a woman who is "shuddh" or "pure". This movie challenges those beliefs in a funny and silly way.There are aspects of this movie I really enjoyed: Women getting to exercise their independence (be it sexual, emotional, professional): Who knew! This is an alien concept to 99% of Indian males, as centuries of exploited women and a sexually repressed society have continued to fabricate an illusion that India is full of "tradition" and "family". India has dis-empowered women and has some of the world's highest rates of rape, child sexual abuse, widow segregation, dowry deaths, toxic parents, toxic in-laws, and the list is endless. Marrying and breeding to improve the gene pool are aspects of Western culture that have propelled them to move from barbaric societies to the most advanced countries of the world, while India lags behind, and young, intelligent Indians strive to leave the country. While the movie's goal might have been different, as a woman of Indian origin, I applaud the subtle tones of women's independence depicted in this movie.

Marriage or commitment is a social as well as mental satisfaction tying you in a freedom less world where you have to think of other as well as yourself with context to your spouse and take responsibility. This is the though which is questioned through this coming of age film.Raghu is a confused but straight forward boy who reluctantly agrees for arranged marriage, but in certain turn of events rethinks his decision and takes a drastic step.The film starts of good and goes back and forth th "up - down" meter quite a few times. Lets just say it has its share of extremely good moments to extremely bad ones. Coming to few goods of this film. Firstly the awesome Cinematography which kept me spellbound and wanting for more. The beauty along with hustle bustle of Jaipur is captured brilliantly. 2 minutes into the film and I found my drooling just for cinematography. Another good thing is the performances. Parineeti is stand out whereas Sushant is good. Vaani has a charm but she's got miles to go before she becomes as good an actress Parineeti is. Rishi Ji as always have perfect comic timing and class acting. Third good is the comedy which manages to make you smile if not "rofl". Also the confusion among the characters is portrayed nicely, but it could have been better.Now the bad things, Firstly the confusing and abrupt climax, which is in fact too abrupt and sudden for the mind to sink in. Especially the breaking of "love triangle" seemed forced and "just for the sake of ending it" kind. It could have been better explained. Secondly, editing, the film could have easily been 5 to 7 minutes shorter. Third, lacking in character development, after two hours of the film one fails to properly define the character traits of the leads, also one does not feel any attachment towards the character, which is a huge let down.Another thing is, the "restriction" this movie is all about isn't something that society imposes on the bride-groom, but it is something prevalent and present in common or live in relation ships. Freedom is the freedom of mind not the freedom of society. So, in short the whole film becomes objectless to say.Direction: Average.Story/Screenplay: Nice with good dialogues but low on character development and flawed in parts.Acting: Parineeti stands out. Shushant is good. Rishi Ji fits the role. Vaani is Average.Music: Soundtrack is good battleground score is good. But the placement of soundtrack and occasional throw ins of old renowned music is what catches the ear.All in all a nice rom-com, which can be enjoyed with a loved one, but certainly a one time watch.

The only reason I watched this movie was because Parineeti Chopra distinctively resembles Julia Dreyfus and acts a bit like her too and I am a big fan of Julia Dreyfus. This movie has an offbeat ending very different from common Bollywood endings very selectively targeted for youth but that's where it comes and mostly shoddy work is even more undone one would assume. Movie certifies Self centeredness and perversion and makes it annoyingly dramatic and twisted. This is one from current crop of Bollywood flicks which try to look cool, by throwing in some local dialects and slags which are mostly ill mannered to give it a desi touch which is badly exposed because of lack of content, cooked up plot and cheesy dialogs which miserably fail to impress. A 30 minute porn is not very different from this piece of utter non sense. This is not Shuddh desi romance..this one is Shuddh desi defecation!!
