We see a smartphone chat in which ‘the West’ asks for forgiveness. But what purpose does an apology serve? Who benefits from it? Which power structures are concealed behind it? Should the present apologise for the past? And can this past ever really be forgiven? Sorry for Real questions the unequal balance of power within the politics of compensation, and emphasises the need to decolonise technologies and reconciliation strategies.

Best movie of this year hands down!
How sad is this?
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
