Tied in their childhood, but alienated in their adult everyday life, they will meet again under unpleasant circumstances. For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
