Simply Perfect
Admirable film.
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
I caught this film at a midnight show here in Seattle. I didn't know anything about the movie - but I love crappy post-apocalypse films from the 80's (Such as Deathsport - or Roller Blade Warriors) and I had heard that Steel of Fire Warriors was along the same lines.I didn't expect much from this ultra-low budget homegrown movie, but I ended up falling in love with it. The dialogue is hilarious, the performances are just bad enough to be endearing, and you can tell that the movie is a real labor of love. Other than a few problems with the pacing toward the end of the film, Steel of Fire Warriors 2010 AD is lots of fun and a loving tribute to a nearly forgotten genre.
