Save your money for something good and enjoyable
Good story, Not enough for a whole film
It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
The acting in this movie is really good.
This is an inspiring movie all time in malayalam .This movie is a grate compliment to all .The story of this movie is little hesitating .This movie is made in one day .
This movie was experimental and the director shows some effort through mohanlal's character. The ending was predictable which was the let down of the movie. But it carries a message. A doctor can save lives and take away lives when he wants to. It was a very short movie. An actor like Mohanlal can carry a film on his shoulders as shown in the movie. Unfortunately audience want to see more of Mohanlal in his movies. I doubt if mammooty could do this role effectively as Mohanlal as it was best suited for Mohanlal. This is why Mohanlal is the superior actor. Regardless of how this movie fared, it was a nice movie and will not be forgotten so soon.
"I dedicate this film to all directors who are inspirating me." - Prashanth Mambully. Yes, the key word is inspirating. Watching this beginning line in the movie, I realised that whatever happens next will be not as I expected. I saw Bhagavan mainly for one reason - it was completely shot in Allied Hospital, Kunnamkulam(Thrissur) where my dad works. So I sat through it.Okay good points first. I think many of the lesser popular actors like Daniel Balaji(best performance), actors who essayed the role of Police head Mohammed Iqbal, the wheel chair father of a young girl, the young girl itself(dunno their names), actor Sudheesh(flirty male nurse) have done their best to be sincere in their roles. Daniel Balaji will continue to get offers as he shines as a villain and maybe be a hero too. Even the camera-work was nice in some scenes like the commandos storming out of a helicopter or the slow-motion scene of police chief Mohammed Iqbal & his team walking through a corridor discussing strategy. And the aim of creating a record movie was good, and they achieved it too. Completing a movie in 12 hours with only 9 camera, absolutely inside the hospital. A good intention but bad delivery! The cons far outweigh any pros. "Inspirating"?!!! And "diffused"(as in bomb diffused)?! This clearly showed the interest levels of the filmmakers. A little Google check would have corrected such embarrassing errors. There's been negligible or no research even in the characterisation of the terrorist, forget other characters. The main terrorist Saifudeen(done by Daniel Balaji) looks more like a madman who's hopeless in hand to hand combat. If a middle-aged gynaecologist can take him down in less than 3 secs, then I don't really have to say anything! Even Mohanlal's natural flair could not save even his own performance, thanks to the script and clichéd dialogues like "One day, I too became God...." This must unarguably be the weakest movie in his career. Actresses like Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Lena had nothing(significant) to do.Verdict - Unless you have a 'reason' like me to watch, stay far away. Finally, to the filmmakers - Forget Bhagavan(movie) and pray to Bhagavan(God) for your next movie. Amen
The people who made this movie should be ashamed. This movie is worst than cheap porn and armature B grade flicks. This is simply the worst movie ever made in Malayalam, in its whole history. This movie has the worst lightning, acting, direction, screenplay, songs and cinematography. Every aspect of film making is made a mockery by this films makers.I wonder how an actor like Mohanlal could fall into this dung pile of a movie!Film makers like this are the ones who endanger the reputation of Malayalam movie. Anyone who watches this movie wont watch another Malayalam movie for a long time. How could they take the viewers for granted by making a awful movie like this!
