Documentary filmmaker Kelly L. Riley returns to the mountains of North Carolina and discovers more than just whiskey being bootlegged. Jim Tom smiths a still from a roll of copper at his creek-side camp. In a dry county thick with prying eyes and tee-totalers, Jim Tom slips around making a run of moonshine. It is a performances centric movie
I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
