Retired DySP Udhayabhanu narrates events of his professional life in a TV program. That is how he reveals the intriguing details of the 'Chepanamthota case', a milestone event in his career. A string of events was set off when the strict Circle Inspector Jayashankar and SI Karthik, who had a history of earning punishment transfers in quick succession, started working together. They were often at loggerheads with their differing approaches to situations and solutions. Under the watchful eyes of family, friends, foes and superiors, they go about trying to unravel the tangled mess they find themselves in, each in his own inimitable style. Who will rise to the challenge and how fast can he do it?

Very disappointing...
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
The story-telling is good with flashbacks.The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
