Easter
Pskov province, 1921. Stepka is painting Daddy's portrait. The whole hut has already been painted with charcoal. And why does Proshka's mother love him, the foster child? After the war, there are no men in the village, the whole household is on her shoulders. And Styopka only draws, he can't even bring firewood — he'll stumble, fall. His own son does everything himself and the more he grins at the adopted child. Stepka... he is not of this world — he resurrects his father.

I love this movie so much
Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
