What a waste of my time!!!
Really Surprised!
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
One of the best Doco's i've seen recently, the continuous dialog between Alan and Placido make you wonder how far modern civilisation banned the importance of the Nature.
It is very understanding, and who doesn't want to go to the Andes to have an enlightenment and spiritual experience with a shaman; Who's knowledge is past from generations to generations, knowledge no book can provide. A way of life that it is sadly impossible for most humans on this earth. The answer is simple, thanks to this movie and it's creators it is possible for us viewers to get a look in to a deep spiritual journey. If something is wrong, if something feels wrong, it is simply because it is. Then you have to look in another direction. Thank you for sharing this knowledge and finding the answers to your questions. This is something all should do, but as the shaman says is that all men are asleep. I you can, try to live in balance with yourself and nature, never stop seeking and the rest is details. Peace
People who prefer ratio, might find difficulties to understand and accept the immense valuable teachings and wisdom given in this docu-film. I recommend this film to everyone, even children, to hear this and especially to absorb this in your whole Heart, your inner knowing. Kore
Fun documentary with some insights about the simplicity of our true nature. Despite the naiveness, the intention is good. But the viewer should be aware. A possible feeling that arises when one watch this documentary is a will to buy a '10 days/9 nights + True Ayahuasca Experience' package to Peru to get enlightened. Well, problem is that enlightenment is not that easy, you don't get enlightened in a weekend trip to a sacred place with a shaman/spiritual teacher/paqo/whatever. Be aware with 'Enlightenment Propaganda' (I am not saying this documentary is a Propaganda even if the dude is kind of naive in his quest) because there is a lot of malicious people in the Spiritual Sphere who just want your money and devotion. Enlightenment is a process that involves one's effort and commitment on the right path being Altruism the most important aspect. You don't need to go anywhere to start working with your mind because the best place to work with it is where you at right now. Believing that the knowledge is somewhere between Peru, Tibet or wherever is a self- deception, and self-deception is the very thing that all those traditions try to teach to overcome. So if I can say something useful is; Don't be fooled by the romantic journey to enlightenment, be more honest with yourself, read a lot of genuine knowledge by genuine teachers and then decide for yourself what's worth pursuing.
