Really Surprised!
Best movie ever!
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Firstly, if you have never liked Sonam Kapoor as an actress, DO NOT DARE and watch this movie. She is atrocious with her acting and her garish dressing sense in this movie. It was an assault on my eyes really. The only reason I watched the movie because the theatre that ran it ran Hindi movies after a break of over a year and I wanted to encourage the theatre. The only redeeming aspect of the movie is the actor - Fawad Khan. He's got grace and much better acting skills than Anil Kapoor's daughter and Rhea Kapoor's sister, both of whom are conveniently the producers of this movie. I have watched the previous two Khoobsurat installments starring Rekha and Urmila Matondkar. Both were miles ahead of this. Now if you are a Sonam Kapoor fan then please go ahead and take the risk.
This is not meant to be a great film, the storyline is not new and it is fairly predictable. However, it is still enjoyable due to the quick pace of the film and the general likability of the actors. Mili plays a physiotherapist who goes to Sambalgarh to help a Raja learn to walk again after he was in an accident 10 years before that killed his oldest son. However, he does not really want to try. Mili is a middle class doctor and is a "fish out of water" in such a prim, proper household. She speaks out of turn, acts way too familiar, but over time she becomes liked. She makes a difference in a family that finds it difficult to communicate with each other. The living soon is Vikram, and though engaged, he and Mili develop a liking for each other. So, its very enjoyable, and the pretty Sonam Kapoor makes for a very appealing title character. I'd also recommend it to anyone who wants to begin to try Bollywood films. It has appeal that transcends the setting of the film.
What is wrong with this movie? Nothing particularly. Its light hearted. It has some good star cast, both Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan look great. Music is interesting and supports the story line. The storyline is clichéd but thats okay. But then ? The problem exists how the final product has been served. Over the top acting (Kirron Kher needs to take a break and focus on politics for all our sake), lackluster screenplay (I zoned out several times during the movie), unbelievable subplots, extensive stereotyping of Delhi/punjabi families and really really poor dialogues.Recommend avoiding it..
As usual expectations were too high for this movie because of the Disney logo on top of it,but let me tell you something its a typical bollywood love story. The building of relationship between Sonam and Fawad is awful.Too much over acting is done by Sonam. The dialogues have really no sense of humor.I was very excited to watch this one and in cinema I was just praying for the movie to end.It was unnecessarily dragged. The ending of this movie is the most predictable. As for the songs they are awful too.Bollywood was only good for love stories but seeing this you can actually say that it is now also failing in these types of movies. The only good things were cinematography, beautiful mansions, artifacts gives you a royal feeling. Please save your money and stay away from this crap.
