best movie i've ever seen.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

Want to have your heart ripped out of your chest, stomped on, and put in a blender? Watch this movie. The loyalty of man and dog is shown throughout this true, heart wrenching tale. Grab tissues, a blanket, and somebody you don't care to see you ugly cry and get comfortable, because it is very much worth the watch.

I sat down to watch what I thought would be a 10 out of 10 film after looking at other reviews, but I must say it's one of the most bori g slow moving films I have ever watched. Sure it's probably loosely based on some true story but that's not enough. I was close to turning the film off until he died thinking at last we have something happening (other than a man playing with a dog), but no, it was just the dog sitting outside the station. Big disappointment and family agree so I'm not on my own.

I came upon this film by total accident. As one reviewer put it, "this movie found me". It came from out of nowhere and touched me as it has done to so many before me. With greater promotional efforts at the time of it's release, I would have become aware of it sooner. I'm sure that with time, it will render enormous props evermore as others learn of the tale of Hachi, the dog who waited for almost a decade at the train station for his dead owner to return. The Japanese dog depicted in this true story has an actual monument in his honor for the impenetrable loyalty he bestowed to his master. Hachi and owner shared a mutual bond beyond description. We should all be so lucky to have unconditional love from someone, or in this case, a dog. Richard Gere was key to making sure this movie was even made as one of the producers. He also ensured it was done right, as he played the leading role. The film was superbly directed as well. Kudos to all for bringing this story to life. Hachi was a pleasant surprise, a one of a kind film.

Every time I watch this film it touches my heart! The true story of Hachi the dog its definitely one of the best Japanese stories and I believe last year The Statue of hachi was replace with hachi and his owner together! That was such a beautiful thing to behold!I totally recommend this film!
