if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror. Saw 3D or also known as Saw 7: The Final Chapter does not learn from the mistakes of the previous installments and once again does the same mistakes only even worse i guess. Plus the gigantic twist in the end? I can't really call it that much of a big deal or even that fun and clever as it tries to be. It's a disappointing finale for sure. (0/10)

The 7th instalment & then-intended finale of the Saw franchise does pack all the ingredients that could kill a franchise for good and applies those little elements quite effectively to ensure that it really is the last chapter in the notorious saga which, in my opinion, should've been put out of its misery long ago.Terribly written, poorly executed & downright laughable, Saw VII (also known as Saw 3D or Saw: The Final Chapter) is cringeworthy in both storytelling & technical departments from beginning to end and even its violence & gore look more campy than graphic, thanks to the retard who thought pink blood would look better in 3D.The story of Saw VII finds two of Jigsaw's apprentices fighting over his legacy while another man who achieved fame & fortune by falsely claiming to be a Jigsaw survivor finds himself in the cage and must play the real Jigsaw game if he's to save his wife. Meanwhile, the film also tries to tie up & address all the remaining questions before signing off for good.Directed by Kevin Greutert, Saw VII finds him not even taking into consideration all the right steps he took in Saw VI but it's not entirely his fault either, for he was forced onto this project and wasn't allowed to modify stuff or incorporate his ideas because of the already built sets & mechanical traps. Its story is dull, characters are bland & traps are a step down from its predecessor. The script is shoddily written as the film tries to be too many things at once and fails at everything. Also, in an attempt to tie up all the loose threads, it ends up creating more questions than answers. Flashbacks are lame, performances are even worse & the meaning behind those sadistic games are gone for good, for all it does is revel in extremity but even those moments don't brim with any level of seriousness this time. The franchise had been spiralling downwards since the fourth chapter and while the preceding one did provide little hope of finishing this saga on a satisfying note, just about everything goes wrong here. The eye-gouging misuse of 3D sticks around in the memory long after the credits have rolled while the final twist in the climactic moment appears out of nowhere, is horribly handled, and still expects the audience to accept it.On an overall scale, Saw VII is a finale so lacklustre & poorly conceived that it only ends up denting whatever legacy was left of the Jigsaw Killer. Despite being the last chapter, it doesn't give enough screen time to Tobin Bell which is a shame since it's his character who held this franchise together all this while and not those torture equipments, most of which are awfully implemented in this film. Messy, contrived & preposterous, Saw VII ends the saga on the worst possible note.

Year 2003, James Cameron made "Ghost of Abyss" know one of the best 3D films in XXI century. Later, in 2009 he made "Avatar" probably the best 3D film ever. This made producers want to make 3D films, and that's OK, but only if you can do it right.Watching a 3D film is exhausting, it asks you for a huge visual effort, that usually it is not rewarding. So SAW producers decided to implement 3D in their film. -Why? +To see chainsaws coming at you or someone bleeding in your face, who does not like that?Yeah, including 3D had no other reason than to follow the fad, and that is not how you make films, not at all. The plot is not too bad, it is just a little bit wasted, because you have made 6 films before about the same theme, but it is normal. Since the first film, SAW attracted a lot of loyal viewers, that were down to see every SAW film. Maybe because of gore, maybe because the plot, we do not know, but there they are.In my opinion they abused the use of 3D and that made them lose a lot of viewers because the plot it is not too bad, but 3D made the whole film turn horrible.

The Saw series ends with a whimper rather than a bang in this underwhelming final installment which simply fails to take the time to set up its various twists and turns. For instance, we have a man who's lied about surviving a Jigsaw Trap who gets put in a trap for real, fair enough. But what actually happens to him? It doesn't look like he dies. Does he end up discredited? Does he end up a depressed and isolated man? Then we have this Jigsaw survivors group. Great idea, but, what happens to them? What's the end game? And finally we have the returning Dr Gordon (Cary Elwes). What a waste! Yes, I understand that he needs to be a Jigsaw disciple and that this makes sense, but surely they could have set this up better. He is in the opening scene and shows up at the Survivor Group, but what happened to his family? Did they break up? Did he disappear for a few months? Come on guys, if you're going to bring back a character after 5 movies, explain something. The one thing I do like in this movie is Detective Hoffman's ramboesque rampage. He is bug eyes crazy and I love his character. I didn't really care about him in Part 5, but in 6 and 7, I buy him as an interesting and dangerous psycho killer. There's also a nice trap with three corners of a love triangle and circular saw, but when is that happening? Who set this trap: Jigsaw, Hoffman or Amanda, or hell, was it Gordon? In the end this a poor final installment. It rushes through things, doesn't explain enough and looks cheaper than the previous ones. I didn't see it in 3D, but it's obvious which scenes pander to it. Hoffman tries to keep us interested, but his bonkers rampage isn't enough to save this. A poor ending, which causes me to fail the whole series. 3 good films out of 7 with a crap ending does not a worthwhile series make. Could have been better but oh well. It is what it is.
