Memorable, crazy movie

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Neon Genesis Evangelion is the most legendary Anime Series of all time, but most of the Modern Anime vs. Classic Anime can be the best part in our culture. Let's talk about the Movie, It starts off when Shinji is emotionally stressed to help Asuka, but he ends up Masturbating when he was F*cked Up. No wonder about how they put effort with a huge studio in the 90's, If you like this Anime Series as a fan of myself, I recommend you to buy some of the DVD, and Blu-ray products on Amazon, or you can Torrent it legally, but they don't have episodes or movies in streaming services like: VRV, Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Amazon Video. Bootleg Streaming Services is free, but it contains adware, Popups and Anti-Virus warning notifications. The plot was about Destroying NERV Headquarters, and Shinji wasn't brave due to his Medication problems, Asuka try's to kill the Eva Series, but she ends up dying when her eyes was sliced apart, and his arm two. The things what Asuka, Misato, and Gendo are doing, was being an A-hole to Shinji. both Shinji and Asuka are only like 14 yrs old, If they attempted to pilot an EVA, it's like a kid with no Drivers Permit, but only 16 yr old teens can Drive as possible, but Piloting a robot or a plane is scary as hell towards Teenagers. The Ending had no credits, to be Continued just had Credits behind. Lilith gives birth to two children, Shinji is emotionally Depressed when he lost his Mother. The Universe turns to blood when Giant Rei was cut into her Throat, and her Body. In the episode of "I Need You" Shinji and Asuka are completely alive, but the billions of humans are all in heaven. Rei disappeared after the Last Impact, Shinji try's to strangled Asuka, but he gives up and Sobbed. so that was my thoughts of "End of Evangelion" whether you were both depressed or feeling better. This Anime deserves positive reviewsAnimation 10/10Art 10/10Background 8.82/10Plot 8.97/10Story 9.04/10Characters 7.91/10Sound 9.21/10Enjoyment 8.40/10Overall 9.43/10Was it worth your time, or money to watch this series? ehh... It's a bit okay, but everything about this Anime was seizure inducing, Bizarre, and Scary demons that are extremely weird and disturbing too. If you don't like the classic Evangelion Series filled with Depressed endings and Broken Heart scenes, I recommend you to watch the Rebuild Films or read the Manga with 14 volumes.

I did not watch the original 26 episodes series but I watched in these days all Evangelion films, because of the high ratings: Death and Rebirth (a recompilation of the original series), The End (a rewriting of the End of the series, still considered one of the best Anime ever), and then the last three, 1 and 2 which reboot the series apparently without mayor changes, and 3 which goes in new territories. At first I will write about Evangelion in general, and then about this specific movie here. In all Evangelion the writer touched any possible demagogic stereotype and cliché on earth: father/son relationship, Oedipus complex, a bit of the typical Manga Style sexuality, cheap psychology, and a huge amount of very cheap esoterism with symbolisms of all kind. My opinion? A big omelet of everything, which finally means absolutely nothing. Wiki says that after the failure of his previous works (which he judged as childish) he wanted to make something "deeper". My impression is that he did not even try to BE deeper, rather just to SEEM deeper in order to impress the audience. And I am afraid that only the Naive could be impressed by such a confused mess.I can still see why this show had success: Evas are cool, fights too, and there is enough mix of drama, action, teenage nerd sexuality in the typical Japanese style, and some sort of epic. I suppose that if you are younger than me and without any knowledge of psychology or esoterism, and a bit nerd, you may enjoy this works pretty much more than I did.About this film: to be honest, I cannot say it is BAD. It has got anyway all those faults I said above, exponentially increased; it is an omelet, a potpourri of anything which means nothing. It is just too much of lot of things together with no real control or knowledge to do a good mix. And the end and post end keep being too complicated and pretentious and cosmically confused. It is just, too Japanese twisted kind of dramatic esopsychology. Stunning graphic of course. But the rest, the plot, which is vital, well, the plot is disappointing.

If you are reading this then you have probably seen the movie and read some things about it. I would just like to share my personal opinion on it. Evangelion came along when edgy, bloody, anyone dies anime was going out the door in place of friendly, immortal character series. So in that aspect the series is a fair representation of anime brutality. With that being said it's my belief that the original series ended on a low budget. So low they tried passing the ending off as an artsy type thing. I've seen animation on a budget as I'm sure all of you have, and the most common things to look for are all there. Recycled animation, voiced over stills, and scene cuts to different animation styles. Although it did provide an ending it was very anti climactic and presented in stark contrast ,quality wise, to the rest of the series. Now the movie, which I felt was a much more appropriate ending to the series. However you could easily cut out thirty minutes and end up with the exact same movie. Whether the extra content was aimed as revenge for angry fans or just a more artistic approach it is needless. Without any of that I would gladly give this movie a 7.5. Although younger viewers may appreciate the life wrangling questions such as 'truth is what you make of it' thirty times over, anyone out of high school has already dealt with those "life shattering" concepts. Lastly lets say the movie didn't have the repetitive shots and repeated dialogue I would still give the movie less than ten and the reason is this. There was very little consistency. The idea that anyone can just jump out of the Ghostbuster's primordial ooze with a will to live negates the entire death sequence. Gendo and the council didn't really have a conflict of interest, just the method. And finally the theme of blurred lines between reality and dreams always has and always will diminish character development. Just ask Dallas fans and who shot J.R.. I'm a big fan of Evangelion and the series, I understand and appreciate the original and theatrical endings. ( Which were the same really just represented differently.) I'm not trying to force feed my opinion on anyone nor am I telling anyone not to watch the movie. But I will say have an open mind when you reflect on the film and that goes both ways. Just because you're told it's art doesn't mean it is, that's ultimately up to the individual viewer to decide. And seriously you're seated in a priceless piece of mankind saving equipment and yet you don't get set up in a stable home environment?

I am reviewing here the whole TV series plus this ending. Note: these are the actual final episodes of the TV series that should have been and the quality of the production is lower than those of a typical feature length animated film, such as those put out by Ghibli. So, well, lets see: This series is pretty much the most over the top / pretentious thing ever made. Specially this cinematic ending: It beats the Tree of Life in terms of pretentiousness as ending is pretty much the film the Tree of Life, plus giant robots and psychologically problematic characters. Watch it if you love over the top stuff, this makes other over-the-top stuff such as Akira look like Avatar. Also, Hideaki Anno appears to show his middle finger to the nerds who watched this film in the final 15-20 minutes he indeed says: stop watching TV and go live a little!I note that I gave The Tree of Life a rating of 1/10 while this would have a rating of 9/10. Why the massive difference? Well, for one thing, this film is a million times faster and lots of stuff happen during it, while in the Tree of Life, nothing happens. So it could hold my attention during its whole 82 minutes, where more stuff happens than in most 140 minute films. Highly recommended for the nerd inside you. : )
