Wonderful character development!
hyped garbage
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
What a piece of crap. Don't bother to watch. It has no redeeming quality.
A little slow in the very beginning but an intriguing story and relationship that is built with the two main characters really made for a Good movie! You will be surprised and interested.... Both Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson were a pleasure to watch. A deviation from character portrayal for Pattinson and I was pleasantly surprised at his ability to make you believe his character and become almost endearing regardless of the odd part he plays.
The Rover is a film that I stopped watching often, always left programmed on TV when spent more time or I give up or simply lose the will to watch, oh when I finally decide to attend, I fall asleep, there finally I I watched, I saw it was going to go on TV and lacked only 10 minutes to start, there placed, and when realized, I was really interested without watching the film, and know the end, and the end was a bit disappointing, it in my opinion, the more the film is very good, the picture shows an apocalyptic Australia, very reminiscent of the film Mad Max (George Miller), the action scenes are good, the film is very violent, the direction is David Michôd that I do not know, I liked his work, even the film has a rhythm problem, and see the film or long is, I found some unnecessary dialogues, the character of Robert Pattinson is very annoying, even though I liked the actor's acting, I found her very talkative character, the cast is good, Guy Pearce this excellent, Robert Pattinson, this very well, I hope she does forget that Edward Cullen, Scoot McNairy, etc., all are well, the Rover is a very good movie , surprises me a lot, but has the slow pace, and some very unnecessary dialogues, even Robert Pattinson in a good performance, your character is very annoying. Note 8.1
This is my first review on IMDb. I have over a 1000 ratings on Movies alone and never felt compelled to review any of them. Until Now.This movie really got under your skin and made me wonder about humanity and ethics. The Rover creates a dense and immersive atmosphere almost post apocalyptic in the Australian Outback. When the actors pull the trigger, it felt very real like it had happened on the same room as I was in.The soundtrack used in the movie is commendable. Kudos to the very well placed use of 'Pretty Girl Rock' and the small humour with Robert Pattinson. Both Guy Pearce as lead actor and Robert Pattinson as support actor made astonishing performances, specially the latter. I honestly believe his performance would be worth an Oscar.
