For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Jeepers Creepers II follows a high-school football team en route to a big game when their bus's tires are slashed, they become stalked by the Creeper. It's a great idea gone bad. The film starts out with an intense opening leaving us hopeful. But once the high-schoolers are introduced the creep factor is lost. Bad acting, lame death scenes, annoying characters, and the Creeper itself just lacks the awesome scary factor he had in the first film.Ray Wise stars as a hunter trying to catch the Creeper, yet again another subplot that is cheesy and lacks any creepiness. This movie had potential but it wasted it. Even the visuals feel less memorable then the first films.I recommend skipping it.
Another great encounter of the Creeper with the teenagers but more teenagers ......I just love the struggle ....The fear of the teenagers when they first saw The CREEPER.....Best memories of mine......I just love Rural American Horror...... Especially this one. It's just Mind-Blowing. Some would say it's just the same as First one..........But I would say just give yourself a try and watch this one. Best in the Franchise.
Every 23rd spring for 23 days, it gets to eat. On day 22, young Billy Taggart is putting up scarecrows with his father when a scarecrow grabs him and flies off. A school bus carrying a basketball team and cheerleaders gets a blown tire. Someone had thrown a shuriken made of talon bones at the tire. They listen to a radio report of the incident in the first movie. They get back on the road. Minxie Hayes (Nicki Aycox) has visions of the Creeper's victims and the tire gets blown again. They are stranded in the middle of nowhere in the dead of night. The movie works well with the stranded school bus. It's not original. It's sort of like stranded in a lifeboat with sharks circling around. It doesn't have the same tension and the cool isolated vibe as the first movie. I like the truck in the first movie. The psychic mind melt is a bit silly. The Taggarts are a bit of a distraction. The movie could be better by keeping the Taggarts out of the first half. This has a few cool horror moments but is is mostly a horror retread.
Spoiler Alert!!! OK I'll start of by saying I didn't care at all about the teen characters because they were all useless in the end anyways. Justin Long reprises his role for no apparent reason I mean I think it should of been Gina Phillips because her character didn't die and at the end you get the feeling she wants to kill the creature in revenge. This sequel is all about how many off-screen kills they could get. Almost 90% percent of the kills were off-screen which is very disappointing. This sequel is really a cluster bomb of a story line like seriously why does there need to be a curse of Jeepers Creepers coming out to eat? It only really ate people if that person had something the creeper wanted. Here though the creeper kills as many of the people he could possibly kill and it just isn't as fun as the original where he has his eyes set on only 2 teenage characters. This is a disappointing sequel I thought and give it a 4 out of 10. I mean at least it had some decent scary scenes.
