To me, this movie is perfection.
The Worst Film Ever
Pretty Good
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
I thongh that this was a good moveies.kidhood marorres.
Academy award acting .Beautiful music that is a breath of fresh air .Hilarious and charming .Okay now with all of that sarcasm out of the way the truth. This movie....S U C K S ! Some of the absolute worst acting in years and this was made in 2007 mind you .A plot that was mediocre, boring, lame, predictable, and extremely corny all rolled into one .The movie epitomized the word corny from the over acting to the SASS to the obvious reading straight from the script lines .The movie was just ...bad period .I get I'm not the demographic for this film and more power to the fans of this film I just found it to be an exercise in pure torture getting through it .Oh and the MUSIC ?My God talk about absolutely horrible and the music video at the end was extremely lame as well as laughable .It also didn't help that the villain was as equally annoying as the lead characters were .Even less helpful is how superficial the characters all are and that doesn't really improve much.
The more I think about this movie, the more I realize that it's just High School Musical. Both have villains that separate students into different cliques Both have villains that are blonde, controlling, and own a dog Not to mention both have the villains being foiled at some singing performanceTo be honest, I don't care at all about that. What really annoys me is how the Bratz are perfect at everything they do. For example, while trying out for soccer the blonde klutz (that's what they called her) is able to score a goal by pulling off a bicycle kick. How...just...just why?I would have just ignored this movie not rate or review it, but when the Sharpay ripoff started singing a song entitled "Fabulous" I ran away screaming "NO, NO NO!!!" I'm not joking. I actually did this. I probably wouldn't have done this if someone else was around at the time, but no one was so I did it. Did I mention the songs are terrible cause they are?
Pretty much all the reviews were negative so I'm here to shed some light. This movie was made with a 9-12 year old girl audience in mind. Bratz dolls were my favourite when I was little so of course, I bought this movie when it came out. I re-watched it last summer. I still love it. It has the same kind of ridiculousness you'd find in Mean Girls. It's cheesy but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I found the tunes really catchy (It's All About Me being my favourite). Many people are complaining but so what if they're all conventionally pretty, and like make-up and clothes? This is just a cute movie about friendship and standing out and being yourself. How could there be anything wrong with that? I agree many parts were unrealistic (adult freshmen and the whole seating chart thing), but with a young audience in mind (and a nostalgic teen audience), this movie is pretty good. There's really nothing much that's problematic in it. It's already a lot more racially diverse than other teen movie casts.
