Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
"The Body" is a mystery thriller movie in which we watch a detective searching for a body of a very beautiful well-off and important businesswoman with a lot of friends but also some enemies which disappeared. After her death that under some very strange circumstances is believed that it was a result from a heart attack, the body of this woman was disappeared from the morgue. Now a detective who is trying to fight his own demons has to find her body and solve this very mysterious case.I liked this movie because it has to do with a dark, mysterious story that clears up in the end. The direction which was made by Oriol Paulo was simply amazing, with many good scenes and of course many surprises. The plot of this movie didn't let me down not even one moment since it had many twists that I couldn't even imagine. Another important reason why this movie is so good, is the interpretations of the cast. Especially the interpretations of José Coronado who played as Jaime Peña and he was simply amazing at his role, Belén Rueda who played as Mayka Villaverde and Aura Garrido who played as Carla Miller. Finally, I believe that "The Body" is a very good movie and I strongly recommend for everyone to see it because I am sure that you are going to have a very good time since it's a very mysterious movie, with many twists and surprises that I believe they will keep you intense. I also believe that because of the plot of it and of course the interpretations of the cast you won't be disappointed by it.
While the thriller quotient , acting is of high quality suspense was not that master class. Once in the middle of movie when it was shown the detective was heart broken for the death of his wife in accident I guessed as I have already seen the Blue Oranges way back. Presentation is different but basic premise of the movie is similar.
This is my first Spanish movie and it made me to watch five Spanish movies back to back . Since I am a very big fan of thrillers and mystery movies i landed up watching this movie with Eng subtitles and made me talk and watch similar kinda movies for next few months. Awesome thriller movie with gr8 twisting story and brilliant acting by all the actors. It keeps you engrossed and keeps you guessing the climax of the movie which cant be guessed by a sane person . Don't miss last fifteen minutes as it speaks everything about the movie . A big thumbs up for this one. " The Body" movie will definitely be a part of my top 10 thriller movies.
I found this movie in the recommendation part of the page while I was writing a review about "Tell No One", another great movie that had been created based on the novel by "Harlan Coben". the IMDb points had given me high expectation because it was higher than 7 and I'm glad to watch it. It was great movie with shocking end just like what I like to see in the movies or read in the books. full mysterious movies make me stick to the seat and follow every move the characters made till to the end and this movie got great point from me because it is not like most of the movies nowadays we can see in the theaters, which are combination of violence, guns, unbelievable scenes, superhuman heroes, bla, bla, bla. this movie was believable enough to stand alone and get attention. also I have just a small criticism. why didn't the man in custody want and request for a lawyer at all while he needed it so badly? it is one of the mistakes that the director has made, from my viewpoint.
