Very best movie i ever watch
One of my all time favorites.
A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
INTO THE GRIZZLY MAZE is an action horror movie with an A-list cast and B-movie feel. It's about a bunch of characters who end up in the woods with a rampaging grizzly bear hunting for them, and the entire plot consists of waiting to find out who lives and who dies as a result. The film seems to be a throwback to the exploitation pictures of old, like GRIZZLY, but it fails to entertain due to the fact that it simply isn't thrilling.Instead this film consists of clichéd characters and situations and over-obvious direction. Familiar stars show up and spout dialogue and either hunt or are hunted by the grizzly. James Marsden and Thomas Jane have both had successful careers but seem weak and insipid here, and Billy Bob Thornton's kooky character is underutilised in what amounts to little more than an extended cameo. Scott Glen has even less to do other than hang around looking haggard. The main recommendation is that the bear attack sequences are convincing, reliant on trick photography rather than the usual CGI creations or man-in-a-suit monstrosities.
Ever so often you encounter one of those 'hidden pearls'. With those I mean movies you have never heard about before, which weren't hyped by the big marketing machine of Hollywood. This, in my most humble opinion, is truly one of them.I tell you honestly, I started watching this movie by the lack of something else to watch, but my oh my. This movie has left me hanging on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end.The cinematography in this movie is truly magnificent. I guess the absolute stunning environment made that a bit easier. The action scenes are breath taking. Without spoiling anything, there were multiple moments in the movie that I myself truly felt as if I was being followed / hunted by a bear.I have no clue if there were real bears used for this movie or not, but if the case is that they were not, then I believe we have finally reached the point where CGI can't be distinguished from reality anymore. That bear was one big bad mother! The good part about this movie is that you understand both sides, or at least I did. You get people, who want to survive. You get the bear that ... well does what it does for the reason it does it, because I don't want to spoil anything. The movie has an awesome cast. This is one of those movies that has you pause it from time to time saying 'Hey I know him/her'. It has a lot of established names like James Marsden (cyclops from X-men), Thomas Jane (who I have loved since Deep Blue Sea), Scott Glenn (Backdraft) and of course BillyBob Thornton, although I had to literally pause the movie to check IMDb if I was seeing that correct. To me (and of course, to you it could be totally different), this was a breathtaking experience through everything this beautiful earth has to offer us (including nature, animals and love). And I truly, truly enjoyed it.
Surprisingly good performances from every actor. The plot is simple, but interest in the the plight of quite sympathetic characters is sustained throughout. Although there is no character development per se, each one is believable. In spite of the simple story, the characters are more than caricatures, as they have more than one dimension. The scenery is gorgeous. Just a bit more time spent on showing its beauty would have given a better understanding of the motivations of the characters. A bit gory in parts, but more is left for the imagination than is shown. Pretty good tension throughout the whole movie as a result of really tight post-production. If you look at the credits, you will be amazed to see how people from around the globe had a hand in making this movie. Wow, what a global process Hollywood has become.
I have recently watched this movie and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised as its not usually my type of movie. There obviously have been previous movies of the same genre, but my opinion this is by far the better option, you cannot go into movie like this and expect Oscar winning performances, but saying that James Marsden ( whose very under rated as an actor ) plays a great role, as do they all. He has a strong supporting cast in the very attractive Piper Perabo, Michaela McManus, Thomas Jane, and of course the great Scott Glenn and Billy Bob Thornton.......Just sit back and relax its a great film, there are worse things to do with your time for ninety minutes.....
