Leprechaun 3

The owner claims it's a good luck charm. The statue also wore a medallion around it's neck. The careless pawn shop owner took off the medallion setting the Leprechaun free...

Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
The acting in this movie is really good.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
So this movie features the leprechaun who is now weakened by a medallion as well as his gold being destroyed. I thought he was weak against either four leaf clovers or iron. What is this thing supposed to be defeated by? Oh and he died in the last movie but now he's back. I mean, this guy looks and acts the same as the leprechaun in the previous films. It must be the same character! Anyway, this movie features the leprechaun biting somebody causing him to turn into one. I thought that was vampires, werewolves, and zombies? Well, I guess if they can bite people and make them one of themselves leprechauns can do it too.Dang, the 1995 computers do not hold up. I guess I'll give the movie credit for being slightly better than the last one. This movie features coins that grant wishes. I thought the leprechaun himself granted wishes? Anyway, the main characters actually do use their wishes well and are pretty intelligent. I find the death of the woman with the inflation of the lips, breasts, and butt to be horrifying to watch and not in a good way. The leprechaun loses one shilling just like he did in the first movie. I don't care, these movies suck. *1/2
Brian Trenchard Smith 'gets' it: those who settle down for a third instalment of the Leprechaun series aren't expecting a groundbreaking work of art they simply want another undemanding dose of tongue-in-cheek horror, with Warwick Davis hobbling around spouting appalling rhymes, and a spot of really hokey gore. And that's exactly what Trenchard-Smith delivers with Leprechaun 3, along with some T&A for good measure. This chapter sees the malevolent titular character causing trouble in Las Vegas, killing those unfortunate enough to find themselves in possession of one of his gold shillings. Meanwhile, college student Scott McCoy, bitten on the arm by the mischievous imp, is slowly transforming into a leprechaun himself. With help from beautiful magician's assistant Tammy (Lee Armstrong), can Scott defeat the evil Oirish fellow and thus return to normal?Highlights from Leprechaun 3 include Indian pawn shop owner Gupta (Marcelo Tubert) having his ear and toe bitten off, Caroline Williams (Stretch from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) exploding, magician Fazio being sawn in half with a chainsaw (John DeMita), casino owner Mitch (Michael Callan) electrocuted by a topless female cyborg, and virtually any scene featuring the lovely Lee Armstrong, since she spends the majority of the film in corset and stockings.
Leprechaun 3 is a good installment. Our Leprechaun keeps up with the rhyme scheme, keeps up with the killing, and keeps up with the greed. He's essentially a different Leprechaun than the others, which avoids the picky plot points involved in continuity. We don't have to worry about whether or not Jason dies from the axe wound to his head; this is a different Leprechaun with different weaknesses. This keeps our perspective fresh.I found his setting in Las Vegas perfect. There's no better hive of modern pop culture for Leprechaun to make fun of than Sin City itself. I'm also glad we finally got to see some boobs. I look forward to more of the same stuff in later installments.
RELEASED TO VIDEO in 1995, "Leprechaun 3" is the second sequel in the series about a hideous little leprechaun (Warwick Davis) who likes to kill those who take from his pot of gold. This one's set in Las Vegas and features a young dude who gets infected with the Leprechaun's green blood and starts to morph into a (taller) leprechaun himself (John Gatins).Although "Leprechaun 3" plays it pretty straight there's also quite a bit of camp. Regardless, it's nigh impossible to take seriously due to the cartooney leprechaun; consequently, the film is more comedy than horror. In fact, it's not horrifying at all. But it IS entertaining, and that's the name of the game.As my title blurb would suggest, "Leprechaun 3" is well worth watching or owning for the character of Tammy alone, played by the magnificent Lee Armstrong. It's great to have an intelligent, winsome female protagonist with actual and natural curves, rather than the usual too-thin blondes with chicken legs and fake breasts. Lee blows them all out of the water and her outfit here only accentuates her appeal. Too bad she left acting behind the same year "Leprechaun 3" was released (1995), but at least we have this film to remember her awe-inspiring beauty.THE FILM RUNS 90 minutes and was shot in Las Vegas.GRADE: B+ (but Tammy/Lee Armstrong rates an A+++)
