Breathing Room
Thrown naked into a desolate room with thirteen strangers, Tonya discovers that she is the final contestant in a deadly game. Restrained by lethal electronic collars, the players must utilize hints and tools from a box marked "pieces" to find both an exit and the reason for their abduction. One by one the players are eliminated as their "curfew" begins and the lights go out. With each dead body comes another clue, which they use to discover that one of them is the killer. The question is ... which one?

I love this movie so much
Just perfect...
There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
CONTAINS SPOILERS****************************************************The setup while nothing original (especially in the low budget movie market) had possible potential. yet the characters mostly all seemed extremely one dimensional for the duration of the film. whiny expandable #1 #2 I'm a recovering this or that. Creepy Guy, Pc version of black guy, the non PC projects Black guy so we know the movie is edgy, the I'm not anyone's friend, the jerk, the smart guy who has his head together, our seemingly main "protagonist"then there's the game itself, a warehouse riddled with hidden clues and items that don't seem to fit together at first and really don't actually until later in the game(way later) so how could the characters have pieced anything together at all? (hell they never used the damn rope for anything constructive)then the game has blackout periods where one of them is killed off each time. this only serves as a way to neatly kill them off without such annoying nuisances as actual Plot Devices.all in all it's not the worst movie I've ever witnessed but man does it have major flaws to it. Spoiler alert ahead *******************************so basically what the hell is the message of the film? is it some kind of sociological experiment? did anyone realize the game is rigged/fixed from the very beginning? Honestly I think the writers lost steam and didn't know a proper way to finish or were hoping with the ambiguous end that they could squeeze out a sequel, or perhaps they just thought they were actually being intellectual. if you want a goofy flick with no payoff and to feel cheated by the end watch this. if you want something that's kinda clever, watch the first Saw or first Cube movies.
A group of fourteen strangers wearing electronic necklaces are locked in a large room without any previous explanation. Sooner they are informed by a man in a monitor that they are participating of a deadly game, where the prize of the winner would be his or her own life, but they should follow certain rules to stay alive. Further, the man tells that there is one rapist, one murdered and one pedophile among them. Under the leadership of Lee (Michael McLafferty), the contestants try to resolve their own suspicions to survive. After the original 1997 "Cube", there are many rip-offs of strangers locked in an environment participating of a sick game, like for example the franchise "Saw"; or "House of 9" or the 2006 "Unknown"; therefore, "Breathing Room" is unoriginal. Unfortunately "Breathing Room" is not even a "good rip-off" because the story is boring and annoying in some moments; and the unexplained conclusion of the scientific experiment the team was submitted is pointless and disappointing. Who are the scientists? What is the objective of the sadistic experiment? Why those persons have been selected to participate? The viewer has no answer for these simple questions; therefore the story and the screenplay absolutely fail. In the awesome 2001 "Das Experiment", there is a previous explanation for teaming-up the guinea pigs. However the acting is great and the actors and actresses are able to transmit their claustrophobic tension and pain to the viewers. My vote is four.Title (Brazil): "O Quarto do Inferno" ("The Hell's Room")
It a terrible show. In the end i don't know what the show its all about. I know a dozen low budget film that can produce something better than this. I rather watch reruns of Barney & friends or teletubbies than be wasting my time figuring out this movie. The setting is poor and so was the acting. The collars on the actors necks look terribly cheapskate rather than some security locking devices which they are meant to be. There was this usual plot which i found it awfully similar to some movie and that's all. The rest is plain old boring stuff and very predictable. You can even guess who is the killer in the end. Even if you pay me money to watch this film again, i will rather not as its insulting to intelligence.
This is a poor replica of saw . i didn't find it interesting ,not at all! I wonder why they still produce that kind of movies. it would be more interesting if it has commercial breaks. it starts almost the same as saw , it has no special effects at all except a broken camera and some blood scenes ,no intelligence , no plot ,no action ,just some people get killed , the lights go out someone is killed who is the killer . In my opinion (always) even with that so poor script it has no cohesion, the killer couldn't do the killings. The title of the movie is unrelated .what else can someone produce so wrong ? if i had the producer in frond of me and told me what will he produce , i would beat him just for the aesthetic point of view.the good part is that it has not so much screams as saw3, that was noisy!thats all.
