Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

There are reasons why I have stopped watching musicals of all kinds.Perhaps it was the collective sexism that was the final straw for me.Maybe I gave up once I realized that almost inevitably some white guy was called upon to stand up to a poorer, invariably less socially privileged person of color with a Point. Maybe it was the portrayal of crazy people doing things no human member of this society would EVER in a million years be allowed to do, like screaming at kids you have stuck into a dumpster during "rehearsal" for a play you are "directing".The screenwriters cannot write women as non-victimized humans, either.Maybe it's the pure sexism of only ever portraying women as useless innocents constantly in danger from hulking men these women do not know how to defend themselves against and for whatever reason do not try.The sub-par voices coming from pretty-faced lousy singers doesn't help.This is the worst of the worst so far as that style of story goes.Inserting a transgender woman into the movie does not improve matters.Not even that obviously heartstrings-tugging move works in a show like this one. Sorry, folks, better luck next time.

OK, I admit my age, 26 years ago there was this great movie called FAME and I was 26 when I saw it then. This movie tugs at the same feelings and stages the same kind of young talent that FAME did all those years ago.If you watch FAME closely you will recognize some faces who went on to make a living in Hollywood. No easy feat. "Do you really think that you are prettier than five million people?" Guess what dad, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there is more than one kind of beauty. These young people are good, full of hope and promises of FAME to come. This one is better than FAME and that says mountains. Watch it and wish them all greatness and even better, happiness.

i recently watched the movie this afternoon and i find it very good... it such an inspiring movie and and the cast are all wonderful... i hope ill gonna have a free copy of this movie (camp)... I relate my self in this movie reason why this movie becomes wonderful to me. I never been on the line of drama before, but i don't know what was happened, i finished this movie with a succession on my mind. I don't need to ask myself of who really i am... Because I'm a straight guy hahahahah!!! From now on ill going to love my special s0meone Very much and ill never do which can make her mad... I really want to watch this movie again... I totally related to this movie! Being a little theater nerd all through high school I always felt left from most of my classmates, but this movie.. this is what it should have been like for me. The movie overall may be a little formulaic, but it has a definite message of acceptance and overcoming obstacles. No matter who you are, you will find meaning within this movie. I think many people wrote it off too soon and possibly without seeing it. With the advent of the movie musical, Camp may have come out too soon. Great recommendation if you liked Rent. am spreading the word about this movie to all of my friends!
