Crappy film
Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

DRAGON is an example of The Asylum doing what they're best known for, which is ripping off a Hollywood blockbuster purely to fool people into picking this DVD off the shelf by mistake. This one's a rip-off of ERAGON but turns out to be the usual fantasy junk, full of LORDS OF THE RINGS cliches and very little else. A group of badly acting and mannered characters roam around in the woods in a bid to dispel some dark lord or other, and they tend to wear old cast-offs with bits of chain mail and the like. Some are made up to be elves. There are some limited special effects but the CGI is so bad that they're underused, which is all for the good. As Asylum movies go, this is one of the worst and least entertaining of them all.
And a bad one for that matter. The level of acting is so bad that it over power the poor visual effects. The scenery and the make-up complete this miserable attempt at film making. I did not expected to watch a masterpiece or academic show award classic, but come on, there should be a limit to what studios are distributing as a movie, But at least, I thought to myself, there is Amelia Jackson-Gray. A lovely lady by all means. (You can see some of her pictures here on this web page)., I thought, it worth to watch the film just for her sake. But even that minor expectation was robbed of me. But somehow in the process of making this disaster, they have managed to ruin this as well. (You will not recognize her in the film by the pictures that are on the web site).Casting unknown actors does not mean that they will have to over act, and law budget films does not mean that putting some black color on an actor face, makes him look like a dark elf. The audience is stupid and expect a little more.
If you are 12 or like minded then you will not mind all the poor qualities attributed to this film. The fact it got produced is amazing and someone's faith saw it through. It gets a ten for believing in that faith, but no amount of faith can rescue this movie from the minds of men, and very few children. Women might have some empathy for the film, but such compassion should be directed to herself for sitting through the first five minutes. At least she will get a good laugh, but what little amusement there is will wain away as fast as the streaking dragon. This movie is a testament to how ego and faith can be so blind to reality.
One of the worst 10 movies I've ever watched all the way thru. Amelia Jackson Gray is easy on the eyes and that made it bearable, but the acting and directing where dreadful.I enjoy the sword and sorcery type movies and expect to cut the lower budget ones a lot of slack but this pushed the boundaries.I gave it a 3 instead of 1 because we had a surprising amount of fun with it by ad-libbing comments in ourselves. This movie is perfect for the Mystery Science Theater 3000 type folks who enjoy "helping" the movie along.Plucky too the way they hinted at a sequel at the end.
