Blistering performances.

Loved it from the beginning; the songs, actions, fight scenes, love scenes and acting by the lead roles were therific-ahh the emotional scenes played by vijay, samantha, radhika and even nainika!! However, the only limitation is how Vijay doesn't seem to showcase the loss of Mithra in the second half it seem Samantha had been forgotten in the 2nd half. This maybe not his fault but maybe the script and how despite she told to be a policeman, he still joins at the end which quite seems he is going against her wish. But maybe Atlee wanted a "Therific, Vijayish" ending and so might have done so. Other than that, Theri is the best Vijay, no, best Tamil film I have watched and there is so far!!! Congrats to the team!!

For me, This is one of the Top 3 best Vijay movies ever. Perfect Mass Entertainer with a good message. It's all about how good parenting can destroy the evil in the society. Ilayathalapathy Vijay's & Samantha's Best Performance till date <3 The Outstanding feature was its Cinematography/Visuals by George Williams - Class :D GVP's Songs/Music/BGM - Awesome work and Goosebumps along with Vijay's Extraordinary screen Presence :) It has all the elements to satisfy the fans and the neutral audience. I didn't get bored even for a nano second and it was worth every penny you spend. The Technical side of the movie was astounding and ATLEE proved he is Shankar's best assistant director. The Three getups of Vijay was really cool.The movie ends like THERI 2 is on the way. All the credit goes to the Director - Atlee, He waited 2 years for this film and he is one of the youngest director in India to work with a superstar in the second movie itself and to gross 100 crores which will happen very very soon. He has told before itself the story will be very simple with a fantastic racy screenplay, credits to Editor Anthony L Ruben for that. Overall it will be very satisfying for all the audience and won't disappoint anyone. SUPERB ENTERTAINER. One of the best Action/Thrillers in recent times. Totally Loved it <3

If your a Vijay fan, then this movie is a treat. Me being neither a Vijay fan or ajith fan, still could enjoy this movies in certain scenes Positives- Vijay has kind of improved his acting. He is trying to push away his animated acting aside and pull up some natural acting. He does not try it every place but he does score in most of the scenes. The scenes before the interval are actually emotional, a bit melodramatic but still enjoyable. Samantha seems to score in certain places. But still kind of does over acting in the scene preceding her death. Radhika, I seriously wish she hadn't spoken rubbish in her tamil nadigar sangam campaign cause her acting scores like anything and really makes everyone who watches it emotional. Hope she reverts backs to herself by joining the new team and sort out her issues.Bgm does work out in many scenes. And in fact the bgm was not that loud and perfect for the scene. Nainika scores in almost eveyscene with her innocent dialogues and expressions Negatives Songs are a big let down. Cause the local don't actually makes us feel upset while watching in class theatres. Could have made a song like the opening song in Thupakki. Amy jackson was a complete statue piece. I don't know why the directors these days even prefer her for a role, in fact she was having her wooden face thought the movie. The scenes were ultimately predictable only because of the way it reminded us with various other tamil films. And sometimes it makes us wonder whether Vijay will do whatever ajith does. The way atlee has mixed up all the news articles that we read in newspaper makes us feel like watching something that we read everyday. At sometimes Vijay's animated acting pops up which makes us keep our head down. Overall what ever we say,even if we feel there is nothing great in the movie, still an enjoyable ride which also could have been shortened but still a jolly fun movie with right elements for his fans to burst out .

A typical old police revenge story, but conveyed in a supreme manner like never before. A perfect portrayal of the emotions, sentiments along with mass elements well suitable for a 'Theri' cop. Mixing the commercial elements along with social messages like Child labor and good parenting is so impressive and deserve a thunder claps from the family audience.Ilayathalapathy Vijay had put up a decent show on his various characters, providing good variety of emotions supporting the story base line. The romantic scenes with gorgeous is very well made, and absolutely worked. The screen presence shown by the actor is quite amazing. Mass! Mass! Mass! All along the movie.Congratulations to G.V. Prakash Kumar for his successful 50th Music album. 'Jithu Jilladi' and 'En Jeevan' are mesmerizing. The back ground score stands out and adds crunch to all the mass elements of the movie. The other aspects of the movie including the performances from supporting actors and technicians are well in place and Kalaipuli Dhanu should be a proud man after such a product.Overall, 'Theri Baby'.
