Redundant and unnecessary.
Powerful
Absolutely the worst movie.
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
This has got to be the worst anime I have ever seen, and I've been watching all the anime I could get my hands on for the better part of a decade. The animation was smooth, but poorly drawn and unimaginative. The narrative of the story had no logical progression, it was just a bunch of cliched action movie scenes played in a random order. There are no real characterisations, yet parts of the movie hinge on the depth of the characters. The funny part is that I hired this because it was based on a game I'd played years earlier that had a great story and great characters! Whahappen?Neither the English or Japanese dub matches the characters mouths - always a sign of something thrown together too quickly.I reiterate, THIS IS THE WORST ANIMATED FEATURE OF ANY DESCRIPTION THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I want that hour of my life back.
One of the dumbest animes I've seen, ever. And one of the worst movies overall to boot. Not as bad as "Dude, where's my car?" but that's probably only because this one is quite short (the only redeeming quality of the movie).Stupid "plot", boring animation, horrible voice overs and bland action. Not the best recipe for a successful anime in my book.Avoid.
Summary: good guy tries to stop evil scientist's mutants. The main feature of Sin was gore and violence. There was a clear plot to the film but constant killing and destruction forces that to the back of your mind, making you focus in the visual aspects. After watching you wish I wish I had known more about most of the characters backgrounds (especially the little girl who everyone wanted to capture). If only ADV extended it for 30 minutes to provide the information, to give the characters more personality instead of portraying them as either cruel, innocent, strong and/or rebelious, this movie would have much more appeal. I give it a 6.
After several failures in the video game movie genre, I went into this not expecting much. What I got was a semi low budget anime film with a great story line. At 60 minutes long it never had time to drag. The animation and voice-overs were above acceptable. The 3-D animation was the only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. It's too bad that this movie may never get past video game fans to the anime fans that might really enjoy it.
