I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
I love this movie so much
hyped garbage
This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Gunday was a controversial illustration. Ranveer Singh posted as a vulnerable romantic. Arjun Kapoor played the unrequited and jealous lover. Priyanka Chopra delivered a temptress. Irrfan Khan acted as the authority figure. The setting in Kolkatta made for the few short dance sequences. Irony compelled a must-see ending. Bangladesi people were a little outraged with the script's emphasis of Indian and downplay of Bangladesi contribution in the Indo-Pak war. Bangladesh and India each appeared in this ode to Kolkatta's plight. Factual evidence could have been clearly subject to bias for the target audience, yet the entertainment factor had been the main draw. Aditya Chopra produced one of the few Bollywood films having a superhero duo for a fun spirit like Dhoom!
commercial Bollywood movies rely on the recipe of item songs, humor, action etc. to make a movie that can give people some entertainment and in return fetch them some money. But sometimes this universal formula has failed to work because of a bad storyline.Gunday is a perfect example of this. The film wants to show bromance, romance, action and whatnot but terribly fails at all.The plot is so Clichéd that i simply couldn't believe that this is what they are showing the people.Yashraj banner has always experimented with different types of stories like Rab Ne bana Di Jodi, band baaja baarat, dumb laga ke heisha etc but this is not new and different like those movies. Songs are okay, cinematography is okay too, historical facts are not correct.Production value is good too.Ranveer,Arjun, priyanka all of them are good actors but what can we do when the story is bad. So overall its clichéd plot actually surprises you instead of the plot twist in the end. Please do not waste your time into this.
This is a Indian (Bollywood) film based on a particular personal story of the 1971 Bangladeshi Freedom war . But unfortunately script of this film also contains historically inappropriate information which are very sensitive. In this film it says the 1971 war as a INDO-PAK war ignoring the fact that the Bangladeshi freedom fighters declared the war against the suppression and oppression of the then west Pakistan. By the way, Bangladeshis don't deny the great help from India. Yes, India fought the West-Pakistan by joining Bangladeshi freedom fighters. but remember, the war broke out in 26th March 1971 and India entered the war on 3 December 1971, after Pakistan launched pre-emptive air strikes on northern India. Overwhelmed by two war fronts, Pakistani defenses soon collapsed. On 16 December, the Allied Forces of Bangladesh and India defeated Pakistan in the east. So this was clearly not a "INDO-PAK" war. India entered the war in retaliation. But it is also very unfortunate that while the Indian government accepts this fact the "Gunday" film production has not corrected this serious issues proving that they mean it. This is a clear media offense. which created anger among Bangladeshi people.
i tho-wt it was a really Gd film wit a nice friendship theme. so many film misrepresent countries...this film was definitely a crowd pleaser and i hope there is a sequel(i can share lots of ideas for example like its so funny how they fell out over a girl so they could bring in sequel and with a different girl and maybe they don't get shot and killed instead injured at the end and they're in a hospital. PS all of this is in brackets cos my grammar goes out the window when i start thinking of creative plot lines)so yes to summarize a brilliant film, loved all the references to 'barabar'...the mirror scene...yep we always love the classic shots
