For people who expect to see moon during mid afternoon.. they will be disappointed.. What else can you expect.Not a conventional opening scene of a Rajini movie.. but thats what character based story work out to.. Each Rajini scene is an epic of class and style in itself, no wonder why he is still style king.. BGM is good, the girl coming as his daughter is done well and character will remain in viewer minds for loong loong time to come..The movie is made with an aged Rajini character alike the God Father classic in the story and it fits the bill very well.The climax is a bit drag, but apart from that, its very good... Can watch again and again for Thalaivar, his performace and acting..

First of all please do not go with the negative reviews who some people have come up with , This movie is one of Rajni's best, no doubt.I do not want to give away a lot of the movie. The story starts with Kabali coming out of jail after a gap of 25 years and he sees his whole kingdom misplaced , Thats when he sets his foot at the right place and starts sorting the things his way , the superstars way. I just came out of theater having a big smile on my face , goosebumps all over my body. This is the perfect gangster movie , it is nice to see Rajni sir playing his age. He should definitely do more of this roles. Radhika Apte has nailed it , Dhansika is beautiful and does a good job. Action is at top notch, Watch out for the climax 30 min it just takes your breath away.Magazchi.

The movie revolves around an ageing don in Malaysia who is in search of lost life. The dialogues and screenplay stayed very true to current culture in Malaysia which gives this movie an authenticity. Unlike the usual Rajnikanth film, this one has new young and talented casts which is refreshing. It also portrays Superstar Rajnikanth in a whole new dimension that we have never seen before. Radhika Apte, particularly has done a brilliant job in this movie. The music is in touch with the emotional connection of the story. The fight scenes in this movie is commendable because of the realistic touch (particularly involving Rajnikanth). With great acting, engaging storytelling and realistic fight scenes, it gives good cinematic experience. This movie is a milestone in Tamil Film Industry. It's definitely one of the best movies in Indian Cinema.

Not thinking about its BO collection and seeing it separately as a movie,this is probably the most realistic Rajinikanth aka Thalaivar movie we fans can get.Also the fact that it addresses multiple issues in the film,the film may feel slow at time and also with the high melodrama thrown in,but this movie breaks the notion of types Thalaivar has been doing,the same charisma is reflected in his solid acting,carrying the movie on his shoulders.The supporting cast is good,the music and bgm are also terrific.This the most down to Earh mass role Thalaivar has done.A different moviewatching experience,sometimes we feel we move along with the leads.On the whole a different Rajni movie!!!
