Too much of everything
Absolutely brilliant
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Marv Newland's "Bambi Meets Godzilla" is a short cartoon whose purpose is to be cheeky, and it succeeds. Lasting only ninety seconds, the cartoon tricks you towards the end. You've probably heard the song that plays throughout most of the cartoon. It's "Call to the Dairy Cows" from Rossini's "William Tell". I understand that it was originally played by alpine herdsmen while they kept tabs on their cattle, and they played it on alpine horns. Rossini's version is played on an English horn and flute. No matter. This is one enjoyable short. I hope that more people get to see it.

The Title Pretty Much Explains The Plot & This Video If Your Interested Is On Youtube If You Saw It Bet You Saw That Coming. Godzilla Is The Monster We All Know From The Japanese Films & Battled Monsters & Machines Of All Kinds Including Godzilla Meets Bolante Or Godzilla V.S Megagodzilla. Bambi Is The Lovable Animal That Had An Ending Which Makes Everyone Cry (I Haven't Seen It) 2 Minutes You Will Keep On Watching. The Opening Credits Were The Funniest Part Going Through 2 Minutes Of A Film That Should Be Half A Minute. Oh Look A Lizard Foot. I Suggest Readers Take A Look. But Don't Look At It's Sequel The Sequel Is Horrible.
I had heard about this for years but thought it was just a silly joke. Really--"Bambi Meets Godzilla"...come on! To my total surprise it played one night years later as part of an animation festival. I admit the credits were amusing and I broke out laughing at the end...but that was about it. The animation is terrible and, after seeing it once, it doesn't play well again at all. I think it gets all this attention just because of the title. So, worth catching once but it's just a one-joke film. That's all I have to really say but IMDb requires 10 lines of text for everything. That's kind of silly. I mean for feature films it makes sense but for a 2 minute short????? How much can you say? It's taking me more time to type this than it takes to watch this short. THERE! I completed over 10 lines:)
