The Worst Film Ever
Surprisingly incoherent and boring
This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
"Linda" (Chikako Aoyama) is a female police officer who has been assigned to guard the son of an extremely wealthy oil sheik. Lamentably, her mission becomes a complete failure as he is consequently kidnapped and Linda (aka "Selena") is critically wounded trying to protect him. Meanwhile, at a lavish convention sponsored by the oil sheik with the goal of awarding a large contract to the best robot manufacturer, an evil Japanese robotics genius by the name of "Ryuichi Sakamoto" (Chung Lin) televises a video declaring that he has kidnapped the sheik's son and demands the sheik's complete cooperation. He then demonstrates his genius by killing himself while simultaneously transferring his mind into the computerized brain of a nearby robot. Not only does this give him incredible power and intelligence but the robot also has a remarkable human appearance as well. Not to be outdone, another scientist at the convention named "Dr. Sara" (Siu-dan Hui) also has a powerful robot with human appearances by the name of "Anna" (Amy Yip) and vows to help the sheik defeat Ryuichi Sakamoto. Although she realizes that Sakamoto's robot has the edge due to his superior human intelligence, she also devises a plan to essentially compensate for it. To do this she will need a human brain of her own and Linda is the perfect candidate. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that I was surprised at the amount of action, nudity, sex and martial arts this film contained. Unfortunately, the script and the special effects were considerably bad and this really affected the overall entertainment value. Even so, there was some good humor here and there along with several sexy actresses featured including the aforementioned Chikako Aoyama, Siu-an Hui and Amy Yip which certainly didn't hurt this film in any way. In any case, regardless of the cheap effects, I rate this movie as about average.
I finally sat myself down to see 'Robotrix' in its entirety. Having previously skipped a few chapters already to see what it looked like, I knew what I was in for. And the time was ripe now, since I felt in the mood for it. 'Robotrix' is a pretty damn hilarious kungfu-cyborg cheese-fest with lots of nudity, rapes (robots apparently do love to rape, and the female victims don't even seem to mind it that much), over the top violence & bloodshed and incredible idiotic attempts at humor. All this in a plot that doesn't seem to make the slightest bit of sense and is unaware of the fact that a conclusion of some sort always helps to wrap things up. Pretty insane flick, crappy special effects included. I liked it. But let me remind you that it's a bad movie: 3/10... Oh wait,... I just checked its page on here. It's supposed to be a comedy??? That changes things: 7/10! Haha.
A prince from the middle east is kidnapped by a mad Japanese scientist. He manages to kill Selina, who was the prince's bodyguard. Utilizing the latest in cyborg technology, Dr. Sara (Hui Hiu Dan) transfers Selina's mind and body to a robot. Dr. Sara's assistant is Ann, played by the sexy Amy Yip, and they all try to stop this scientist and save the prince. This movie is a category 3 film, and its full of violence and nudity, especially Selina, played by the also sexy Chikako Aoyama. That this works at all is a minor miracle, but it manages to be a crude but watchable action film. Crazy things happen, but the film is not meant to be taken seriously. If you don't mind gratuitous violence and nudity, it passes the time pretty well.
Robotrix is a cheap and trashy Cat III outing which mixes sci-fi, action & comedy elements along with the usual sleaze and gore of the HK Category III film.Taking obvious cues from Robocop and The Terminator, the futuristic story opens with female cop, Selina (busty AV idol & Edo Rapeman star, Chikako Aoyama) getting killed during the kidnapping of an Arabian prince she is protecting. We soon discover that the prince was kidnapped by fiendish scientist & robot designer, Ryuichi Sakamoto, who subsequently commits Hara-kiri and transplants his evil mind into his latest robot creation, played by Billy Chow (Horrible High Heels, Escape from the Brothel). The psycho cyborg then proceeds to go on a hooker-killing rampage punctuated by a few sleazy rapes. Luckily, Japanese scientist Dr. Sara and her robot assistant Anne (big-titted Cat III cutie, Amy Yip) are standing by to donate their services, and they do so by transferring dead cop Selina's mind into a clone of her old body, then together they prepare to hunt down the evil whore-slaughtering robot and save the prince. This flick is a whole lotta fun. There's enough sex, violence, robot-rape and low brow comedy relief courtesy of the goofball cops to keep the avid sleazehound entertained. Some classic scenes involve Amy Yip going undercover in a brothel to try and lure the crazed cyborg in, but ends in half the police force lining up to bang her! There's also limb tearing, ultra cheesy special effects and some violent-robot-wielding-a-flamethrower action. A guaranteed good time for one and all! 7/10
