Young-joon and So-yeo are a young couple with their marriage relatively stable. On a day their mutual friend opens a wine bar, they come across Min-jae and Yu-na, a couple quite the opposite of themselves. After a trade of talks, Young-joon becomes a client of fashion consultant Yu-na, while hotelier Min-jae agrees to help So-yeo book a hotel for her Hong Kong business trip. So-yeo meets Min-jae by chance in Hong Kong, while Young-joon trades suggestive remarks with Yu-na who visits him on a consulting session. Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

One couple marries out of love, then falls out of love. Another couple marries without love, then fails to find love. Enter seduction. The movie,Changing Partners revolves around the infidelities of two married couples who inadvertently engage in couple swapping. It features the all-star cast of Uhm Jung Hwa,Park Yong Woo,Han Chae Young, and Lee Dong Gun.The story has Yoo Na,who is a sexy fashion consultant who demands perfection in her work and marriage. Her husband of three years, Min Jae,is a sensitive hotel manager with a gentle charisma. They share a connection more as friends than as a couple. So Yeo is a sophisticated lighting designer who feels dissatisfied with her passionless marriage to workaholic Young Joon. Their marriage is nothing more than a legal contract. Their relationships take an unexpected turn when Young Joon meets Yoo Na during a fashion consultation, and Min Jae and So Yeo run in to each other in Hong Kong. Changing Partners was excellent due to the fact that there was no Hollywood ending in it. It would have been really better that the people who are in love with each other stayed with each other. The movie was never cheesy and it narrated a story about the risk of falling in love with another person and the negative things that could happen when leaving a present relationship that a person is not satisfied with. It was not your typical romantic drama. Aside from that, the acting of the movie was good. Also, the movie left the viewer with some things to think about. This is an excellent film. This will definitely in the top 5 Korean films I have ever seen out of hundreds I have seen together with A Moment To Remember, The Classic, My Sassy Girl and Daisy. This movie was not a let-down. It was also great from beginning to end. Highly recommended!!!

A friend recommended this film to me and I thank her for that. The visual are amazing and loved the way such a predictable script is made so interesting, well the name of the movie gives it all away. But thats not a bad thing. I normally don't watch a lot of romantic films, and when I do I usually fast forward through the mushy stuff, But this film was different it made me watch it. Even the sex scene is so beautiful, actually well placed and needed for this movie Loved the cinematography, the acting and the script execution. I would say the score (background) especially during the romantic part was a bit over bearing and lame. Some times silence speaks and conveys more than the music. Although at place other the the romantic scene it was alright. I would recommend this movie, just keep an open mind an plan to enjoy yourself.

I've watched sensual Korean love movies like 'Aein', 'An Affair' and 'Green Chair' and just recently 'Changing Partners'. Wow, i was wowed again by the Koreans! Hollywood never make movies/write stories like these. It's evident that the Koreans make their movies with full of heart, soul & wit. The cinematography,as usual, is beyond excellent. The best in the movie industry, in my opinion! I've watched too many great Korean movies that i'll now say, "THAT'S SO KOREAN!" whenever I see the great qualities in korean movies.'Changing Partners', like the other (highly recommended) movies mentioned above, managed to go deeper with more meaning especially towards the end. Even the sex scenes are done well. I can just assume that if an American made this movie, it would not be as good. But a movie wouldn't be great without good actors right??? Korean actors are really good! Spellbinding...they usually are!

The English subtitles were incoherent on this DVD. It appears there was no review by the distributors of the DVD. Too bad--as the visual look and cast were attractive. It would have been nice to understand what the actors were trying to convey. It would be interesting to know what Korean speakers thought of this movie. It has a fairly well known cast--successful in previous films. Uhm Jung Hwa, who co-starred with Daniel Henney in "Seducing Mr. Perfect", is one of the female leads. She appears to have made a nice transition from pop singer to actress. Park Yong Woo from "World of Silence" and Lee Dong Gun of "My Boyfriend is Type B", play the two male leads. Han Chae Young of "Wild Things" rounds out the cast as the other female lead. Hopefully, a re-release of the DVD with a better translation is in the works. As an English speaker who really enjoys Korean films, this was a very frustrating experience.
