A Major Disappointment

It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

The very definition of a film with a bubble gum script, Stealth is too dumb to be taken seriously at all, although the serious face would have you think otherwise. The Owen Wilson/Gene Hackman action flick everyone hated, Behind Enemy Lines, would make an ideal pair as both operate on adrenaline and no brains. In Stealth, three expert jet fighter pilots (Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel, and Jamie Foxx) are in charge of "assisting" in test demonstrations of an artificial intelligence plane, which is supposedly the future of Naval war and information gathering. When the robot stealth fighter begins operating under its own set of orders, the pilots are in deep crap as their commanding officer (played by Sam Shepard, looking corrupt from the get-go) insists that it was fit and ready to go despite Lucas' efforts to convince him otherwise. When Biel's plane's wing is damaged by the exploded debris of Foxx' plane near Russia, and she lands in enemy territory (North Korea) by burned parachute (thanks to exploded debris of her plane after it goes kaboom), Lucas has a lot of trouble on his hands. Lucas must try to order the AI stealth back to base and somehow rescue Biel, all the while avoid a hit on him by his own lead officer! The plot is junk and the planes are obvious CGI, but the script throws caution to the wind and gives three doodies about characterization. It is about jet planes, explosions, and military shenanigans. Shepard is your garden variety secretively morally ambiguous, suspicious military suit willing to go the extra mile to save his own neck and intentions at the lives of his officers. Lucas was the Johnny-come-lately Hollywood star of the month at this point, while Biel gets her moment in the bikini so we can ogle her body for a bit, and Foxx suffers a thankless supporting part as a womanizing sex-addicted soldier always eyeing the ladies and cocky when in the cockpit of a jet fighter plane. Foxx is basically the Goose to Lucas' Maverick. Eventually Lucas is able to "reason" with the AI plane as it gains a human conscience, even going as far as to ride inside it on a mission to save Biel (yeah, it gets that absurd). Nothing unpredictable about this at all. It goes exactly the route you'd expect. Lucas is too good a multi-faceted actor for drivel such as this and Foxx, thankfully, rose above this kind of non-casting.

I had a few reasons to watch it. One - it's part of Fox , the second - its advertising in Russia , almost one of the most powerful blockbuster year did the third - just for the most banal of interest ...From the works of director Rob Cohen's I know is not very good . Saw a few movies. For example Daylight Stallone or running man with Schwartz . Personally, I'm very impressed with this director for his work . Filmed with high quality and in good faith. Standing Action , music, escalate the situation , solid drive ... Filming satisfied.In the film were mainly involved three actors Josh Lucas , Jessica Biel , Jimmy Fox. The rest were in the crowd soon . I can see Joe Morton still only known to us by Terminator 2 . In general, all played well .Josh Lucas appeared before us a sort of " Rambo ." Why ? I will not explain , otherwise I get a huge spoiler. Prior to this film actor did not know , but after this film in my memory it is not particularly rebelled , too many duplicates it in Hollywood, such as tough guys saving flick of the wrist , half of the world ...Perhaps the director wanted from him to do Arnold Schwarzenegger , the sample Running Man or Sylvester Stallone of daylight. In my eyes , did not work .Jessica Biel . Well what can I say . Typical girl showing us stamina and courage , not characteristic of the fair sex. Before the film , especially with her creativity and come across to me in this movie, she was so little resemblance Ellen Ripley from Alien . Here, maybe I'm wrong . But , as I have already seen such heroines. Do not count . Each film on this subject there is always such a character , even away again, no need to go , running man , remember Maria Conchita Alonso ? Here - here .Weak point of the movie , as always, all too typical of such blockbusters. Too simple , banal script and storyline . Over how the movie ends , I have long thought all doubt at the sight of the brave deeds of heroes, understood immediately .It is a pity that, because of the script , I have not seen for a long time for Fox. Very sorry. How many do not watch movies of this genre , constantly running into a bad scenario , the problem was tazha and Armageddon and Godzilla ... typically in general .About the movie still will express positive as likely to view all know that to be seen , normal popkornovy movie on one viewing ( here IMHO, anyone) and no more ... Do not forget that the director's name speaks for itself .The first half of the film, can barely looked more in one breath , and then all ... Once in a moment everything became too easy.

A stealth jet containing advanced AI starts to act a bit fruity, and it's us humans that have to take it down. A rather enjoyable and ridiculous film that takes itself very seriously. Usually this would go against it but there's something refreshing about the sincerity with which it tells its tale. The acting is all believable, even if the plot points are predictable. The disadvantages of technology and AI in war combat is probably a serious issue, one that this film doesn't even try and address. Come along if you want to see some very exciting aerial combat scenes, some good effects, and enough entertainment to just about fill the running time.

Today I happened to watch the movie "Stealth" which was released in 2005. After watching the movie I must been able to say that in movies you can do anything. The EDI plane was just one fighter plane that wiped out Russian SU-37 aircraft, the best known fighter aircraft of the world, more so it was able to pull out an American Navy's female pilot from North Korea. I must say that there should be a limit to bullshit, but this movie surpasses all the levels of lies and fake story telling. If that one plane can play havoc then why US is maintaining such a large military force, just one plane can do the job. It was too many a kiddish movies which is allowed for teenagers to watch. This movie has had to be a greatest flop of cinema history as it has nothing in it except some bikini scenes and kiddish dog fight of a plane which never existed. The move shows destroying the entire company of North Korean soldiers were unable to catch an injured pilot; they should be ashamed for that. It was quite a waste of time and money both respectively. I gave this movie 3 out of 10.
