I love this movie so much

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

The EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE cast returns for Disney Pictures follow up, but this time the spotlight is on Kronk(voiced by Patrick Warburton), who is no longer Yzma's(Eartha Kitt)henchman. Kronk has started a new life and is very happy with his role as chef of his own restaurant. Things go merrily along until Kronk gets word that his Papi(John Mahoney)is coming for a visit. Kronk is worried, because he knows that his life won't impress his Papi. One thing that he has always wanted and never received is a "thumbs up" from his dad. A flurry of blunders and a gigantic cheese explosion in the restaurant leaves our likable hero very deep in trouble and anxiety. To save the day, a little help from his friends.Other voices: Tracey Ullman, David Spade, John Goodman, Wendie Malick, April Winchell and Gatlin Green.

First I'll get this off my chest: I was torn between a 7 or an 8... I leaned towards the latter because it was straight to video, and therefore I feel the standards are off.As a very vocal fan of the original Emperor's New Groove, I have been avoiding Kronk's New Groove at every cost. I'm very much aware at how Disney sequels bomb. I'm not sure if it's the lack of money, lack of interest, or Disney's lack of ability to put their characters in new situations convincingly (i.e., The Little Mermaid II).Tonight I caved in and saw Kronk's New Groove and, dare I say it, it was actually good. I liked it's mirroring of the original in format, especially with the opening theme song guy, being a chick! The songs were actually pretty good, meaning I didn't find myself asking, "what the hell is this crap?" (i.e., Return of Jafar). It was a fun movie, great animation for what it is, and wouldn't mind watching it a second time. I do agree with some of the previous reviewers, that this film seemed like a series of Saturday morning cartoons, but that's what most movies are, a series of events which slowly connect to a conclusion. Everything that happens in this movie leads up to the conclusion of explaining Kronk's true nature, etc.But yeah, so that's the end of my sappy praising of this Disney Sequel. Basically, if you're not too prejudice, go rent (or buy) Kronk's New Groove. By now I'm sure it's $10.00 at Target.

"The Emperor's new groove" is a fantastic comedy that has been entertaining me since its debut in cinemas. Now there's another comedy, "Konk's new groove", who is as fun as the original. Rarely Disney keeps the original's spirit alive in a sequel (sequel?this seems more a spin-off), but they've done a great job for this one. Kronk is lovable and as realistic as ever, and the gags are original and very funny! The animation is not fantastic, and some characters, especially Yzma (one of my favourite Disney characters!)and Pacha's wife are less expressive than in the original.Anyway, the characters' look is faithful to the original. The songs are pretty and entertaining as well, especially the Yzma's one, in a cabaret-style. If you like the first film as a comedy, you won't miss this excellent sequel. Great work!

I got the DVD for Christmas, since I love Kronk. I liked the intro, animation, and dialogue, but I missed Kuzco, Pacha, and Yzma. They get very little dialogue and Kronk is better off being a supporting character. I especially hated the bitch, Ms. Birdwell, he married in the end. She was just a hollow, no good, flat headed, Posh witch. She deserved having a nickname like "Birdy-Poo" cause thats all she's worth! My mom agreed. Kronk deserves better. As for the plot, it wasn't all the funny, but what do you expect from a sequel? The arrival of Papi was HILARIOUS though, and I loved seeing Kuzco again, but then he just disappeared. I also loved the song Yzma sang. Sadly, she disappeared too.6/10 BIRWELL DOES NOT DESERVE KRONK!!!!!
