Good start, but then it gets ruined

best movie i've ever seen.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

After a one-night stand with a mysterious stranger, a young woman starts to find herself succumbing to a strange illness that slowly eats away at her physical body and causes worry in those around her, forcing her into action to save herself once it becomes apparent what's going on.This here wasn't all that enjoyable an effort. One of the biggest issues here is the fact that this one opts for such a slow-burn of a story that it never really lets anything all that interesting develop. That the symptoms slowly start manifesting and only seem to appear at a specific point in the day with no other real opportunities is a bit of an issue since there are very few opportunities to see the effect it has throughout the day. Cutting in for an isolated series of scenes doesn't make the slowly- burgeoning reactions to the affliction seem any more dangerous or threatening beyond the onset of the condition itself, which really doesn't strike this as being all too different in the overall charge here. Since that goes on through her utterly inane decision to continue her life while knowing that something's wrong with her, this really makes it somewhat hard to sympathize with her due to the obvious sincerity of the situation because of the severity of what's going on with her in terms of how much blood she's loosing or the other physical changes she undergoes. It basically makes her choices seem all the more idiotic in how she refuses to say what's happening to her or ignoring not just doctors' order but common self- preservation by going out with friends or to her work where it's possible to infect others into becoming like her which just makes it all the more idiotic what happens to her. These here are what holds this one back, although that said, the film does have a few positive elements at work. One of the few bright spots is the way in which this builds up the idea of what's going on with her as the concept of the changes appearing over several days makes it feel all the more horrific as this gradually gets worse and worse as it goes on. A lot of these conditions do come off rather creepy and chilling which make them seem that much more terrifying to go through and gives this some rather chilling concepts here. Alongside the nice gore and bloody make-up once she's starting to turn, these here are what make this enjoyable although the flaws still hold this one down considerably.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and a Rape scene.

So many negative slams on this movie. I liked it and didn't know what was going on until the end. I didn't read the negative fodder until after I watched it and I didn't watch the tracer. I bet that most of the negative reviews are from people watching 5 minutes of it on a pirate channel. I found this film to be one of the better Horror films and the story was great. Najarra did an amazing job in this film. I loved the ending, that's why I gave it 8 stars.

I enjoyed this this film! Unfortunately, it's gotten quite a bit of needless trashing. Honestly, I don't believe Contracted deserves it. For a short, smaller budget movie, I felt it worked quite well. It's a simple story of a troubled young woman who, being intoxicated at a party, appears to have contracted an STD from an individual who's taken advantage of her. What follows the morning after, well let's say, begins a very unpleasant journey related to her health. The film is quick-paced and the acting was right on (most of the time) and for the most part, the story followed the logic of the protagonist (which is not that uncommon among certain people like herself). If you are an astute and observant film goer, like a bit of disgusting appurtenance included, and don't view movies with such a literal and critical attitude, I do believe you may experience a pleasant 90 minutes with Contracted!

A horror film that has a man getting jiggy with a corpse and then later has unprotected sex with a girl he drugs to do it. The next day the woman starts showing signs of an STD from hell.This one wasn't too bad. The effects were pretty cool as they show her rapidly decaying from the inside out. She starts bleeding from everywhere, teeth and hair fall out and so on. Meanwhile she has to deal with her job, girlfriend and her mother.They keep pounding the theme of safe sex. Some people probably didn't want to have sex after seeing this let alone wear a condom. For a much darker version of this watch Thanatomorphose (2012) which I liked better. Now I have to see the sequel.
