How sad is this?
It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
Garfield two is a joy from start to finnish. This masterpiece will keep you smiling the whole night. This movie follows Garfield getting into all sorts of mischief, but this time it go's too far, when Garfield swaps owners with a look a like of his. I don't want to spoil too much, but the results are simply hilarious. In conclusion, Garfield two is a must buy, not just for children, but people of all ages. 10 out of 10, buy now, you will not be disappointed. I'm just Joshing, there's still so much more to talk about. I must confess, when first going into this movie I thought Bill Murray was just phoning it in. But after witnessing his amazing comedic abilities, I knew never to doubt him again. 5 Stars, would watch again, I've already watched it 10 times.
I have a weird history with Garfield. I remember back when I was a kid and I used to read Garfield comics all the time. Looking back, I don't think the franchise holds up at all. I guess you could simply argue that I simply outgrew it, as I am in my twenties now. Still, I can go back and look at stuff like the Peanuts comic and realize that it still holds up as an adult. I just don't associate with Garfield at all anymore. In fact, I think most people feel the same way. Either way, I probably wouldn't have liked this movie.I mean, I find it to be boring and having lame jokes, just like the comic. So, I guess it was pretty faithful to the source material! There's no plot other than another reprisal of "The Prince And The Pauper". I should have known Tim Curry would be a voice in this. I seriously think he's set a record for most prolific celebrity voice actor. The CGI still looks bad like the last movie. This is worse than the last one, because this movie doesn't even expand on the first one at all. You can literally watch this and understand everything without seeing the first one. In fact, you're probably just better off watching just this. It's the same reason why I skipped the original "Atlas Shrugged". I've heard it's the exact same anyways.I looked in the credits and couldn't find John Cleese's name. I was not surprised that he was unbilled. It's easily the worst thing he's ever been in. Eric Idle looks so amazing in "Casper" now. Now Bill Murray can no longer claim the original Garfield film as his worst movie. I practically had a checklist in my head of every thing that a bad kid's movie has. Let's see, random pop culture references? Check. Fart jokes? Check. Crotch jokes? Check. Modern pop song? Check. Celebrity voice actors? CheckDidn't they realize this didn't work in "Yogi Bear", or "Alvin The Chipmunks: The Road Chip" or any of the other infinite number of bad movies I've seen like this? I guess there's a couple good jokes and good scenes. The part where they eat the lasagna is actually kind of interesting.Still, it's completely pointless. I know newspaper comics in general have declined steadily. This film is the exact antithesis of "The Peanuts Movie". No useless pop culture references, celebrity voices or toilet humor. Yeah, I feel sorry for Garfield and people that are still loyal to the comic. If you are, fine. *1/2 out of ****.
Garfield a Tale of Two Kitties is the most majestic and awe inspiring piece of artwork I have ever had the immense pleasure of viewing. Every single inch of film in this masterpiece is pure gold to all viewers. The cast is magnificent, the scripting is beautiful and the cat himself is the most fantastic feline I've ever laid eyes on. No other thing on Earth will ever be able to touch the enjoyableness of this film. Every time I watch it I bask in its rays of glory and wonder. Everything else is 0/10 000 will never be as good as Garfield a Tale of Two Kitties. I would recommend this film to every single human being on Earth that wants to experience something absolutely amazing. 11/10
This is an entertaining film, and is it better than the first movie? Yes, much better! The stunning location of the English castle was a delight, as was the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt. Don't forget the adorable dog Oadie, who was one of two reasons(Jennifer Love Hewitt being the other) for watching the first film. Billy Connelly was too OTT, but it didn't help with the material he was given. The script was still a tad uninspired, but an improvement. Bill Murray is a lot more bearable in this movie, but he does sound a little bored. The supporting voice cast do a commendable job too, Tim Curry the standout with his aristocratic voice, he was perfect for the voice of Prince. I laughed a lot at this movie, its predecessor is a far cry from that. There are a few cheap gags such as the dog Rubble and the trousers, and some clever ones such as the mirror sequence, inspired by I think the Marx Brothers. Thank you for an entertaining movie, and it doesn't deserve the low rating. 7/10, Bethany Cox
