n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
I was a lazy boi with no aspirations and now that I have seen this film I will probably never leave my couch because I am continuously rewinding the film and playing it over and over again. I have finally found my purpose in life and will forgo all of those silly dreams, like marriage, family, friendship, and love in order to persue my higher calling - memorizing every line in this beautiful creation until I can talk solely in quotes from Titanic II whenever I talk to the friends I no longer have. Thank you, Asylum. Your namesake is where I will soon call home.
The original titanic movie had a huge budget, albeit, but many movies - many LEGENDARY movies - such as dirty dancing for example had low budgets it comparison. Money doesn't equal great acting or script. Yes, it helps with CGI, hiring a great cast and a set but there are other options. The cast and extras actually ruined the the movie along with the script and AWFUL acting. James Cameron must have been questioning his whole existence after watching this diabolical calamity or a movie. People getting trapped in doors and using a credit card to save your life is strange when the other doors are fine and less deadly and there's a medical cabinet full of supplies. In all honesty it was worse than the movie Britannic. Some movies should just be destroyed. This is one of them. Dear Hollywood, do not remake or sequel any classics. Just. Leave. Them. Alone.
I don't even know why they would do a second Titanic..it amazes me how they think this'll make any money or profit in the box office. This film got a hype review before it had of even come out, it got people all hyped up..and turned out to have shocking results and poor reviews. If you are thinking of buying this film...don't bother, you are wasting 1-2 hours of your life..plus another downside is (and you know if its a good film or not) that there were no options for subtitles...the majority of films that are produced should have subtitles as an option and also audio description should be another option.I am very disappointed but no one can reproduce a film like David Cameron and have Kate and Leo being the main protagonists.
Words cannot even begin to describe how awful and boring this film was. Don't bother wasting your time watching it. Lazy casting, lazy filming, lazy editing and terrible actors.Firstly, it is not explored in any detail as to why exactly someone would build a replica of the Titanic. Who would do such a thing? Why would people get on it? Is the boat taking off from New York or California? Where is the boat going? These are just some of the many many unanswered questions that this tragic film poses.Secondly, there are endless factual errors. For example, its worth pointing out that if a boats engine gets cut out, it doesn't just stop. It carries on for a short while, it does not come to an immediate standstill like the Titanic 2 seems to have miraculously done. If any of the directors had paused for a moment they would've realised this, however, they obviously were much more interested in pushing out a lazy half-baked piece of trash aimed at riding on the extremely profitable tail-coat of it's much more successful predecessor (although I hesitate in linking the two in any way shape or form). The acting was also absolutely abysmal. I almost laughed at the cringe-inducing cry of 'NOOO' coming from Amy (played by Marie Westbrook) when her friend Kelly gets crushed by the closing door. Sadly though, it hit me like a wave when I realised that this was supposed to be a serious film, alluding to a very serious disaster. You'll notice though I said 'wave' there, not 'a wave thats carried an ice burg on the crest of itself all the way from the Arctic' because that would be ridiculous, not that that stopped the directors from making that a central feature of the entire film. Overall, an abysmal and tragic film. I could go on for hours pointing out every error, but that would require watching the film again, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
