I just want to say i'm not a critical film reviewer, if i like a film i will rate it 10/10, if i think a film is just OK i will rate it 5/10 if i hate a film i wont bother rate it at all.OK, so to the film waist deep, i was skeptical at first, i thought it looked like a fake gangster film which is kind of is, i.e not set realistically but after 10 minutes of watching i was impressed, and kind of glued to watching it. I really enjoyed this film, as i said i'm not a film reviewer i'm just adding this review to say my piece and to say its worth watching if you have nothing else to watch and want to watch a good movie.It is a good movie, i don't break down movies bit by bit, i could but i don't want to bore people, id rather tell you its a good filmThanks for reading,Peace from the u.k

Waist Deep is Tyrese's best movie to date. The movies that he star in seem to always center around South Central Los Angeles. That's good, because that's where he's from. He's from the streets, and this is a street movie and a good one. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. It forces the viewer to wonder what other measures will Tyrese and Meagon Good take to get his son back. Sort of a black Bonnie & Clyde. Good action! The only major drawback is Lucky, the character played by Larenz Tate. I wanted to see more of O-Dog, a character he played in Menace II Society. It was a great story with a happy ending. Tyrese and Meagon fit together well.

"O2" (Tyrese Gibson) is trying to put his life back into pieces. But when his car gets hijacked, with his son in the backseat, his experience from the past comes well in hand... The only problem is that it takes 100.000 dollars to get his son back, a 100.000 dollars that he don't have and have to come up with within 2 days.A very well written script with a lot of gangster/hood/gangrelated stuff innit. Tyrese Gibson does a good job and so does, the attractive Meagan Good. This is a film for all you cats out there loving the hip-hop-culture & and some of the gangstershit that comes withinnit.Soo, get your ass out from the couch and get.... - watch it - dig it!
