Admirable film.

Ninjas vs. ninjas vs. outlaw cowboys vs. circus freaks. Violent, surreal, strange, and stylish, but nearly totally vacuous. I watched it, but regret I spent the time, because there is no here here. Purely a time-killer.I'm desperately trying to write a longer review about this film, but it is so completely empty, that it's like trying to detail the nutritional benefits of cotton candy.If I'm going to be totally honest, the people who will probably get the most out of this movie will almost certainly be under the influence of some illegal substance, since I don't think even alcohol would bend the mind enough to make this experience worthwhile.Yeah, this was another movie that inspired me to scrub my Netflix queue, since I so hated myself for the time lost on this mindless fluff.

It's not John Ford, but THE WARRIOR'S WAY is an outstanding western. A blend of east & west, live action & CGI, far eastern mysticism & carnies, classic western film guitar & spaghetti western horns, with a whole new spin on a man, a woman, & a baby. Danny Huston is spectacular, Kate Bosworth brings it, and Geoffrey Rush & Tony Cox are great. This is the first I've seen of the lead, Dong-gun Jang, & I liked him. Thanks Netflix, I almost missed it. It's not John Ford, but THE WARRIOR'S WAY is an outstanding western. 'The Warrior's Way' is A Fair Entertainer, that works best as a lazy Sunday afternoon watch. 'The Warrior's Way' Synopsis: A warrior-assassin is forced to hide in a small town in the American Badlands after refusing a mission.'The Warrior's Way' is a time-pass entertainer, that doesn't even attempt to be legendary. Its a watchable action fare, that offers some very good action & crisp editing. The Screenplays is written ably. Sngmoo Lee's Direction is efficient. Cinematography & Art Design are passable. Graphics leave a lot to be desired. Performance-Wise: Geoffrey Rush does well, as usual. Jang Dong Gun plays the protagonist nicely. Kate Bosworth is fabulous, while Danny Huston has a blast playing the notorious villain. On the whole, 'The Warrior's Way' works till it lasts.

This IS a fun movie, don't let any one tell you otherwise, it takes the viewer on a multi-paced journey. One moment the action is so frantic and franetic your left thinking 'what just happened?? ... then the next moment your lulled into the surreal landscape, wonderful costumes and excellent soundtrack, just a little on the soundtrack at most times the music matched perfectly and beautifully to the screen then other times the music formed an almost comical juxtaposition.. great stuff!!... Then BANG your dragged back from all the serenity into a "kill Bill" stylised gore fest... its genere is best described as Hong Kong "fight by wire" martial arts meets spaghetti western meets Tarentino meets "300" All in all this makes a nicely blended, tough dude protects the girl kills lots of other bad guys, "all for redemption" movie .. Nothing new in overall plot except the nice twists that keep u guessing and going WOW,, thats cool and different. In summary.. .your sense of Reality is best left parked at the door .. just watch the the great film/CG imagery, fantastic costumes and a have fun time,,, sit back and enjoy,,
