I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
To me, this movie is perfection.
hyped garbage
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
I am not sure where all of the hate is coming from for this movie. I found it to be very funny and enjoyable. I see a lot of people reviewing that only children would enjoy it but I honestly don't think children are the target audience for this movie, I think they would be bored and confused by it. Molly/Brook is NOT Hannah Montana in this movie!I found myself laughing right off the bat and I found Molly to be a very strong, inspiring character. Obviously many elements of the film are far-fetched, but you just have to suspend disbelief a little bit and enjoy it. I never suspected who the real villain was throughout the whole movie and I found it hysterical that she beat her new boyfriend senseless and he had nothing to do with it at all, he was framed. The plot line with her dad was very touching and I enjoyed the way it ended with everyone getting what they wanted. Good guys win, bad guys lose! Very feel good! The only thing I would have liked to have seen more of was Molly actually bonding with Alex. It seemed like Alex was her purpose at the house but she barely spent any time with her at all. I found that to be very strange. And even as an adult, I honestly found the whole thing with the ledgers and stuff to be very confusing haha. This movie is definitely a thrilling story with lots of laughs. I wish Miley Cyrus had made more movies like this. I would definitely recommend it for teenagers and women of any age. Not sure guys would be able to sit through this though, it is very girlie!
So, Three Word Reviewer says my summary says it all! Miley, who is so out there, and so in front of all of us, like way more than what we want (tmi, Miley) is undercover! As a sorority girl, no less! Has Miley even gone to college? Does she need to? First, we're asked to believe that Miley is a private eye--more or less, someone that snaps pix of cheating couples, all in support of poor old dad, who is a boozing, gambling shell of himself since he got kicked off the police force. He's trying to get back in somehow, by being a bottom feeder private eye. Then, we're asked to believe that the FBI has seen her stellar work as a teen photog in truck stop diners, and they desperately need her to infiltrate a sorority house to help some sorority chick whose daddy is a mob boss. They're willing to pay her big bucks, which of course she has to take because old boozing daddy just lost a bucket at the racetrack. THEN, we're asked to believe that after oh what, ten minutes, no, I'll be generous, a half day of FBI training, tough-talking, motorcycle-riding Miley is ready to be a sorority girl. This is of course, a transformation, a la Eliza Doolittle, because we all know sorority girls are all the same, and they all talk, like, so unbelievably real. And they're all bitches...and dumb...and vain. (But secretly majoring in chemistry). So yeah, the story makes no sense, and it's not supposed to.It's your fault-you chose to see this movie, knowing that Miley Cyrus is a private eye that becomes an FBI agent, posing as a sorority girl. And yeah, you'd have a right to be mad if you walked into this movie not knowing that. But odds are, you knew that walking in. And so, since you knew that...guess what?? It's not that bad! She's likable...yes, I said it. And she's a better actress than Britney or Mariah. The movie is fun. You can't be mad, because it's not a serious movie. Yes, you can be mad when you are ready for a serious movie, and there are plot holes galore. But this is not a serious movie, nor does it pretend to be. So, sit back, be entertained, and don't worry about the plot holes-worry about plot holes for a serious movie. It plays, don't think about it, watch it when you're hungover and need mindless entertainment. Because that is how it works. And the Miley in this movie is the Miley we want to know...it's not a star vehicle, she doesn't sing, and she really doesn't overact. Honestly, I can see a future for the girl if she ever wants to bust out some serious acting chops.
Great chick flick, with drama, love and a bit of action (y) Must watch!! Even tho Miley who plays the main person, isn't famous for acting she does a brilliant job in So Uncover. So uncover is a movie about this girl who enjoys destroying an affair. she takes pictures of it. I especially love the ending because of the plot twist. Witch is the best part. Everything in between the beginning and the plot twist for me is just a chick flick, but it's great that way because of the girlish things and the funny boyish things.(y) If you haven't seen the movie, and you're a girl(or a boy who loves chick flicks) then I would ask you; WHY NOT?! Get it done, it's a amazing movie
Well I watched this movie hoping it would be a comedy but to be honest,it was OK for watching it once, I wouldn't watch this twice.Miley Cyrus is dry at my opinion, maybe it isn't her fault, maybe the director told her to act that way but I didn't like her much, she seems like a smart-ass in this movie, like "Oh I know everything and you are dump", On the other hand, this movie has certain scenes copied from Miss Cngeniality, like the moment where she is been insulted while on make-up, and when she finds out her name is Brook, she feels ashamed like Sandra Bullock did when she found out her name was Gracie Lou, We also have that Cotton Girl that is the dump person like the blonde one was in Miss Congeniality. The only reason I gave this a 6-star is because it was enjoyable, not Oscar material but also not so much of a comedy, poor jokes...
