To me, this movie is perfection.
A story that's too fascinating to pass by...
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
I was a fan and reader of the books, which are awesome. This movie is great- for a Disney movie, a typical Disney movie. It is funny and cute, but that isn't like the books. I could go on and on with comparing- my sister's already heard all I thought as we watched this one and the second movie, and as I'm finishing up the series (going on the 10th book). If they made a movie or three or four (or how many it takes) to go along the books, then I'd like that. Not Disney though.. Heck, even a mini-series if done properly might be okay. But this movie is just not the same as the books. I hate the chant-phrase "It's your birthday, It's your birthday", and so I don't like when they say that. Personally, that's just lame. Tia and Tamara are getting older, but are great actresses but I liked and still like Sister, Sister... but although there acting isn't so bad (though it annoys me when they look at each other and scream... if I'm that scared enough to scream like that, I'm not going to look at my sister then scream...) this isn't their best acting. Sister, Sister to me is more real. So though its a funny, cute and magical movie (though not a lot of magic), I'd read the series that it is based off of if you haven't already. (And the sequel... well I like it more but still, like most sequels based off books, like The Cheetah Girls 2, falls even more away from the books then this first one).
After seeing Tia and Tamara bragging how Christian they are on that interview that they did for the Trinity Broadcasting Network aired over and over for the past 10 years before this movie, then to see them take a role that glorifies witchcraft, just shows the whole world how these two sisters can not be either trusted or believed and the quality of their acting is just one more lie they would like us to believe, but which is yet one more falsehood about them which has been exposed by this movie. Frankly, the whole movie really stank, especially the acting.I recommend that the producer should be made to refund every cent that the viewers have wasted on this most lousy of movies.
This movie is totally different from the books, but I still think its great to watch and children will never know the difference. I think that this movie with Tia and Tamera Mowry is really amazing and is a great Disney movie and I am looking forward to the second movie as well as others. Just to spoil the movie a little Thantos the twins uncles wants to kill them, but also married the girls mom and killed their dad and thousand of others in the movie but in the book he let his brother kill the girls father. Wow maybe I spoiled too much.Anyway to spoil a little more of the movie from the book is that in the book Illeana and Karsh are just friends and Karsh watches over the young minded witch. In the movie Karsh isn't an old man but younger and they both date each other, Illena is still absent minded but isn't at all bossy as she is in the book. Karsh is also way to goofy in the movie and not a bit serious as in the book except for a serious face in the movie.
The beginning of the movie is too much like the the show that they were in. (Sister,Sister) They are separated at birth, they're adopted, 21 yrs later they meet in a clothes store. But heres the twist, they have magical powers. Pratically the only thing this movie has going for it is its special effects. The landscape of Coventry is just simply beautiful. The acting could use a little work. They were either over-acting or not acting enough. But like every "DCOM" (Disney Channel Original Movie), they have its funny parts. The funniest part on the movie is in the clothing store where Alex is trying to apply for a job. I give this movie 7 stars out of ten. Twitches is kind of a kiddie movie but its a little bit good for adults.
