Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies
Steve, a young professional snowboarder, ruins a high-paying photo shoot by playing a silly prank. He, his girlfriend Branka and fellow snowboarder Joschi are left behind on the mountain. They seek shelter in an après-ski tavern that is hosting an all-night party. Things go from bad to worse when a scientific experiment unleashes an epidemic of zombies and mutant wildlife. This is mostly lost on the local drunkards, as they are not always easy to distinguish from zombies themselves. But Steve, Branka and Joschi have to find a way to survive this hellish night.

So much average
Absolutely the worst movie.
It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
An amusing spoof B movie with some of the cheesiest music since 70's porn filmsIt is not a blockbuster. It is like the old school gore flicks like Reanimator. Worth a watch if you are a Zombie movie film fan.
The best time I've had watching a movie in ages. Dominick Hartl has crafted a ridiculous, fun zombie movie that feels fresh and free from genre clichés. Every killing is hilariously designed and every character is distinct and clear. This strange romp will get you in its grip almost immediately and, for it's brief 80 minutes, have you smiling. An absolute delight.
One of the other reviews here mentions being able to enjoy 'Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies' ('AotLZ') if you don't take it too seriously, and that's a good rule here; unfortunately, I may have taken my viewing pleasure of this horror/zombie comedy, a little seriously. I likely should not have held high expectations and anticipation for this, because mostly I was left wanting, though it had some decidedly fine and clever elements...I can't trash it, because it's good, you can tell it was crafted as a labor of love, and it definitely had it's moments while being mostly fun. The production team here get high marks, as it had first rate production values all around, looking and sounding great! Kudos to casting as well...but ultimately, I'm left with the sentiment of a wasted opportunity, as parts of the script, pacing, and direction didn't step up to the rest of the production's level and help this film live up to it's brilliant potential...If you're a glutton for the punishment that comes with being a fan of Horror/Zombie comedies, then give this a shot, and you may be pleasantly rewarded. Hopefully, 'Team Hartl' get another crack at a Zombie feature, because the potential is there. I'll also give 'AotLZ' a few more viewings, and hope it gets better with age...In the meantime, if you liked 'AotLZ', and Horror/Zombie humour (e.g., 'Shaun of the Dead') is what you crave, consider these: 'Train to Busan/Busanhaeng' (2016), 'Evil Dead' (1981), 'Zombieland' (2009), 'Dead Snow/Død snø' (2009), 'Juan of the Dead/Juan de los metros' (2011), 'Slither' (2006), 'Undead or Alive: a Zombedy' (2007), 'Bio-Zombie/Sun faa sau si' (1998), 'Shanks' (1974), 'Chrome Hearts/Chopper Chicks in Zombietown' (1989), 'Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse' (2015), 'King of the Zombies' (1941), 'Cockneys vs Zombies' (2012), 'Zombeavers' (2014), 'Night of the Living Deb' (2015), 'Kill Zombie/Zombibi' (2012), 'Cabin in the Woods' (2012) & 'Black Sheep' (2006) For Horror fun/humor, also consider: 'Tucker and Dale vs Evil' (2010), 'Eight Legged Freaks' (2002), 'Host/Gwoemul' (2006), 'Cold Prey/Fritt Vilt' (2006), 'Housebound' (2014), 'Piranha' (2010), 'Tremors' (1990), 'Snakes on a Plane' (2006), 'Ghost Team' (2016), 'Las brujas de Zugarramurdi' (2013), 'Grabbers' (2012), 'Black Christmas' (2006), 'Rare Exports' (2010), 'Trolljegeren' (2010), 'Gremlins' (1984), 'Fright Night' (1985), ' Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!' How often have you really seen comedy and horror work well together? Probably not too often but "Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies" does a great job at fusing these two categories. This lighthearted, zombie filled film brings together every aspect of horror films and comedies to make it enjoyable for everyone to watch. When three teens are stranded on the Austrian Alps during a snowboarding trip, you don't think many bad things could happen. But add a science experiment gone wrong, and a mountain full of zombies to the equation and then you have real mayhem. Luckily, the humor throughout keeps the spirits high and hopeful for an escape from this hellish location. The script has cleverly written jokes that kept me laughing and a self-aware cast that notably mentions they are in some type of "zombie movie" to the audience. I noticed an 80's vibe present that also helps to give off a quirky feel. But not to worry for all the horror lovers. There is an intense fight scene between the zombies and snowboarders that still had me hiding my eyes (mostly because I'm squeamish). If you can think of any way to kill a zombie with a snowboard, it is done in this movie and probably more. Whether there is a head being cut off or in half, a body severed, or a zombie being shot to death you will have enough gore to last you a lifetime. Basically, the special effects did not disappoint and the makeup helps make some of the most realistic looking zombies. This ZomCom is a great flick that I really enjoyed. It is perfect for a movie night and deserving of any comedy or zombie lovers time. This spoofy film does not disappoint and should be added to everyone's movie watch list.
